Hello chaps,
I am very excited for the new Tobruk map! I remember seeing the trailer for it awhile back, but it was apparently removed.
To anyone who knows,
I know the 5.0 release may still be a long way off, but I was wondering if someone could give us an idea of the general area the new map will cover. I mean, we know it has Tobruk. But what other cities and land features will it include? Please understand that I am relatively new here, and am very innocently asking for information. I perfectly understand if TF is unwilling to share this information, we can continue to wait patiently. I'm simply hoping for a bit more information so we can start thinking about what missions/campaigns will be possible with the given territory, if I may ask.
Saw a picture somewhere on these forums of the map, but I'm not sure if it was official or not. I haven't been able to find any info on the map other than the fact that it includes Tobruk. If i missed something, then I apologize if I'm asking an already answered question.

Seeing as North Africa had far less cities and far lower population than England and France, I'm assuming it should have a lower object "density", and therefore have less impact on FPS. Will this allow for a wider area than covered by the Channel map?
A few questions on the specific area:
1. East-West:
Are we getting only Tobruk and the surrounding desert, or will we have the wide coastline? Of most importance, will we have El Alamein, or El Gazala? And a big if... perhaps even Alexandria, Benghazi, or El Agheila?
2. North-South:
How far will the map extend Northward into the Mediterranean? Just a few miles into the sea, or will we have enough water area to have air attacks on convoys and so on? Crete? :recon: :stunned: What about the Quattara Depression, which was the southern boundary of the El Alamein actions?
And bonus question because why not?
3. Will you eventually add defenseless Hs-129s and Ju-52s for the Beaufighters to seal-club? :)
A big thank you to Team Fusion for all the work they are putting into this project! We really appreciate it (despite the fact that we have no idea how much work it really is and how much time you guys must devote to it).
Thanks,
