Hi all,
Lurking on these forums forever but decided i should actually say something for once.
I've come up with a bit of a workaround to get some 3d Depth and VR into the current version of CLOD team fusion.
What you need:
VR HMD. either occulus or vive ideally. I use vive so can answer questions specific to that one probably cant help as much with other headsets.
Steam App; "VR Toolbox" there is a demo version not sure if has the required functionality i paid for it to help the devs out
Reshade.me latest version of reshade. https://reshade.me/
superdepth 3d from the reshade website and from the developers github. https://reshade.me/forum/shader-presentation/2128-3d-depth-map-based-stereoscopic-shader
https://github.com/BlueSkyDefender/Depth3D
Open track https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack latest version allows translating HMD head movement into trackir input.
how to.
Inject CLOD launcher exe with reshade and either download or not the extra shaders if u use them. Maybe SMAA is worth keeping.
add the superdepth3d files to the reshade-shaders folder in CLOD folder. specifically. superdepth3d and polynomial_barrel distortion
boot up CLOD but dont try to change any shader settings while in menus.,
Open up open track. set it to take HMD input and output freetrack 2.0. click on settings for the output and have trackir as the primary with freetrack hidden.
calibrate/center the HMD in opentrack
load up VR toolbox.
ignore the tutorial and come back to desktop and regular mouse.
go to FPS settings tab
check 'enable'
and 'side by side stereo'
move screen size to about 75% on the slider.
head back into CLOD now, boot up a mission and once in the 3d world hith your reshade keybind for configuring it.,
enable super3d and polynomial barrel. make sure super3d is at the top of the reshade list.
hide reshade,
stick on the HMD and have a look around.,
big note:
I have no yet had the chance to optimise or improve on the image or head tracking short of a few small changes. There are lots of options in the reshade settings to change the depthmaps used and IPD etc. Please if people have the time and are interested see what works best and report back!
what i did find worth doing is manually changing conf.ini and setting screen res and refresh rate in there to try and force FPS to 90 but even then its not ideal so still looking for solutions to smooth head movement and frames at this stage.
