How to re-install COD and have it register?

Hi Guys,
How does one go about re-installing COD and having it re-register?

If I delete the local game content through steam I guess I re-dowload it by "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"?

My game will suddenly freeze during play and it has never done this since I've owned it.

Two things I've done just before this was to upgrade my Nvidia driver and upgrade my Creative Soundblaster Drivers.
Also, cleaned up my system with System Mechanic Tools.

Any help much appreciated.

You can try reinstalling .NET. Also, enable the tick mark on "disable desktop composition".

If all fails, delete (or rename) the 1C folder on my documents and let the game re-create it.

Well,
It took some hunting around in the Steam screen but I found out how to do it.

To delete the entire program go to: IL2 Sturmovik:Cliffs of Dover/Properties/Local Files/Delete Local Game Content.

Then:

Go to IL2 Sturmovik:Cliffs of Dover/Properties/General/Create Desktop Shortcut.

Then:

Click on the shortcut and the install download will start. (takes a very long time)
