Hello,

First of all thank you for the great work on the update. But, can we have the Dynamic Campaign option back, please? I mainly play SP and this option is a must have in my opinion (and probably for other SP pilots).

Thank you,

Cheers

Absolutely agree. I am sure they have something planned but their being weirdly quiet about it. That is kind of troubling honestly.

There are numerous thread here and Steam forums asking about campaigns but from what I can see no info at all from the devs.

The Dynamic campaign was not created by a TF member, so there is an issue with copyright.

We have tried to contact the creator, so far no luck.

Thanks

Ahh ok. Good information to have thank you.

That is something you guys might want to post elsewhere as I don't that is known. I know there was talk about some other stuff that couldn't be included due to that sort of thing but I don't think the dynamic campaign was mentioned.

Appreciate the information though.

Do you guys have plans to create some sort of dynamic campaign for the game at a later date maybe?

Thanks for the explanation, Buzz. I hope you can find him. Clod is in beautiful shape but it really needs some Single Player content. A big thank you to the whole team and keep the good work.

I copied the TF Campaign from 4.3 and it shows up in the Single Player menu, but I'm not sure that the mission generation works as it should. Being a C# developer, soon between jobs , maybe the source can be made available if the author doesn't have time with this ?

Maybe you can start off with this.

This "Dynamic Campaign" is Enlightened Florist code, available there:

https://code.google.com/archive/p/il2dynamiccampaign/

This system cover only fighter operations, not bombers.

Original topic in "Bananas'Drama":

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=25362

BTW - Airwarfare link in topic is now dead - I think their files was moved for Mission4Today but in a big pack.

Great to see people in the community willing to jump in and help! If I was a programmer I certainly would love to help.

A single player dynamic campaign would make this sim a true classic now. Great job all.

Maybe it's not that big a problem, I've just generated a TF SP Campaign and flew 1 mission. If you kept 4.312 on your disk , simply copy the

<drive>:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover\parts\TEFCampaign folder to the

<drive>:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts folder

The campaign should show up in the Single Player menu.

I get an access error trying to load the "download" page of the Google Code project......EDIT: Never mind, got it..but a class file is missing from the DynamicCampaign project (DynCampaign.cs)

Since Blitz and CLOD are 2 separate games on Steam, I guess that you could download CLOD(4.312) again , with the BETA option.. That would create the

<drive>:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover\

and the Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD

None of these folders should conflict with Blitz afaik. I assume that there would be a risk that "Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover" (now containing Blitz) could be overwritten if the CLOD 4.312 first requires CLOD (unmodded) to be installed. You could rename "Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover" temporarily until 4.312 is installed, I guess, and then rename it back again.

Or...someone could host the TF Dynamic Campaign folder, but that might violate copyright rules..

Stardog765
Dec-19-2017, 13:46
Ya I thought about trying that, thank you.
I was afraid to mess up my Blitz install but I think I will try it.

I did keep my old folder from the My Docs folder and just renamed it but I did not keep the main CLoD folder from Steam.

Thanks

Ok I went ahead and reinstalled the old version of CLoD.

Do I actually need anything out of the Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD folder?

If I am reading this all correct I just need the TEFCampaign folder from the main IL-2 Steam folder correct?

Thanks for the help all.

No, I've found nothing needed in the " Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD " folder for the TEFCampaign. I've kept both 4.312 and 4.5 installed for comparison and can launch either version.

I still had the original Enlightened Forest Campaign saved and have uploaded to ATAG the last version i had before it became part of 4.3.

It can be manually installed into Blitz.

Oh cool. Thank you.

I am sorry I am just coming back to IL-2 after years is that what became the TF Dynamic Campaign that was included with the TF Patch before Blitz or is that a totally different campaign?

Thank again for taking the time to upload that.

To fly the Beaufighter in the TF campaign, add "BeaufighterMkIF" to the "playerAircraft.SECTION" and "redAircraft.SECTION" . They can be found in:

<drive:>\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts\TEFCampaign\campaign\west\Files
<drive:>\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts\TEFCampaign\campaign\east\Files

In "playerAircraft.SECTION" (open with Notepad) , find a squadron of your choice, I've chosen 66 Squadron here:

[BoB_RAF_F_66Sqn_Early]
Name No. 66 Squadron
Type Fighter
Flight0 1 2 3 4
Formation VIC3
Fuel 100
Aircraft SpitfireMkIa SpitfireMkI SpitfireMkIIa BeaufighterMkIF

in "redAircraft.SECTION", find and update the same squadron:

[BoB_RAF_F_66Sqn_Early]
Flight0 1
Class Aircraft.BeaufighterMkIF
Formation VIC3
CallSign 26
Fuel 100
Weapons 1
SetOnPark 1
Skill 0.3 0.3 0.3 0.3 0.3 0.3 0.3 0.3
Airbase 146673 251076

Since 66 Squadron is a fighter squadron, the missions will be fighter missions. There are no ground attack missions (the LW has Jabo missions) , but I guess that with some work this type of mission can be added to the campaign structure. Bomber missions should be flyable if a bomber squadron is selected.

Oh, and I tried to add a new squadron, the 25 Squadron, but I get a "Regiment Bob_RAF_F_25Sqd not found" error when generating the campaign...so there must be a squadron validation somewhere against valid squadrons.

I've flown 2 Beaufighter missions now in the TEF Dynamic campaign and it seems that the AI pilots have problems.

- Mission 1, escort Blenheims . The whole flight managed to collide (3 planes) while forming up..I was circling above watching the show..
- Mission 2, patrol.. jumped a Staffel of E-4B and I managed to shred the radiator on a quick pass. After a while the forces parted, no other casualties. Until we got home..
Ground control at Kenley told #4 and #3 to join the circuit, I circled to see them touchdown nicely about 1/3 of the runway length..then they rolled past the end of the runway, into
the woods and a small cottage..big explosion.. Didn't want to see #2 end the same way , so I exited..

Is this a campaign bug or a Beaufighter AI bug in general ?

I replace Spit with Beaufighter in some QM, and return to "home plate" they land OK in Hawkinge under tower control.

Weird, since I think that the Hawkinge runway is shorter..well, I'll do some more tests..

Last year I took the code that someone called oden had written and added a few extra bits and created a dynamic campaign for the Battle of Britain

Here is the link to that code on Mediafire

I was interested in updating it further for Blitz but no one else seemed to be

I’ve played this campaign and it has some really good features, (morale, fuel availability, extended orders menu etc).

I'm testing a modded TEF Dynamic Campaign:

- added a new "Beaufighter East" campaign with:
- added 29 Sqd and 219 Sqd as Beaufighter squadrons with "Jabo" role
- "UKJabo" mission types as playermissions and "RedJabo" as aimissions
- compiled new DLLs to support the new mission types.

I've only tested campaign generation so far, but it generated an airfield attack mission with escort. The ground targets in France already existed , and the Jabo mission logic was already prepared for either side.

Edit: Well , the logic seems to work. I defined some different mission types for "UKJabo", so the next mission generated was a bomber escort mission. The Beau MkIF is only good for strafing missions so it should have other missions assigned to it as well. The Hurricane fighter bomber could use the "UKJabo" assignment as well , I guess. More ground targets could be added too..

Last year I took the code that someone called oden had written and added a few extra bits and created a dynamic campaign for the Battle of Britain

Here is the link to that code on Mediafire

http://www.mediafire.com/file/rl8cyzq02j05bzu/ReleaseV7.rar

I was interested in updating it further for Blitz but no one else seemed to be

It is possible to use these campaigns in the same Blitz installation? Or I have to choose just one?

Each campaign use different folders and create unique entry in GUI menu, so no reason for don't install all at same time.

Example, previously people use Migman Dynamic Campaign in 4.312 that already have Enlightened Florist Dynamic Campaign installed (as TF Dynamic Campaign).

Problem is this DCG (besides scripts that consumes CPU cycles) had in their mission template more than 1500 static objects, some like this:

Static959 Stationary.Environment.FireBucket_UK1_full

That kind of object means nothing for gameplay - neither are visible unless at few meters, this is good for Larry59 "digital dioramas" style pictures. :D

Much thanks for the tireless efforts of those in this community for taking their time and talents so that others can enjoy this steadily improving simulation. I had stuck with 32-bit Windows mostly for compatibility with some older games I still enjoy. When I noticed SSD price/GB recently, I got one and installed the 64-bit version specifically so I could run CloD Blitz edition and I have not been disappointed. I used to fly online practically every day and built IL-2 cooperative missions for the group I flew with, but that was years ago, so the mod that made Heinkill's excellent Redux campaign to run with Blitz was a big deal for me. Kudos to all that made it possible, from the coders to those posting links!

I'm having a slight problem with the Enlightened Florist campaign.
I've installed as per directions and it shows up in the campaigns in the GUI, but when I click on it nothing happens.
Am I missing something?
Also slightly off topic but should single missions be installed in the 1c softclub/ my docs folder or in the main game directory?
Cheers, Scream.

Have you unblock the custom DLL's used by this campain?

Located in:... \steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts\TEFCampaign\

Right click over > properties > unblock.

OK. I did this exactly as stated, but when I launch Blitz, select single player, I do not have it listed as an option. Is there something more I need to do as well? I've tried to also add it in my docs folder under mission as it shows in 4.312 and still nothing. even removed the TEFCampaign folder from IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover\parts folder and left the file in the docs alone. Yet nothing. blew the dust off the game and played 4.312 TEF Campaign for a couple weeks before realizing that ver 4.5 was out at steam and free if I already had the older game version. Really wanting to get back on my TEF Campaign missions.

any thoughts?

Yep. That did the trick. Even still have my saved games from it too when I added TEF into my docs. Thanks a bunch 1lokos. This should be a sticky topic for all off-line players.

Edited, after a couple missions, the count of missions and kills went away and I started back at zero missions and kills. I can deal with that.

The TF campaign for 4.3 let the player choose which side to fly for, but the Blitz-modded version seems to make the choice for you. I may be overlooking something, but the same thing for Quick Missions. I can't figure out how to choose which side (blue or red).

Don't know about Dynamic Campaign options, but in Quick Missions you can change side if the mission allow, e.g. QM Bf 109 intercepting Blenheim, you can fly in one or another.

But if the mission don't has this option you can change plane, but not side, if select a Bf 109 for replace a Hurricane will fly in a RAF Bf 109.

Thanks, 1lokos, I see it now in the Campaign. Selecting the Operation Seelowe option on the campaign screen sets it to the Luftwaffe perspective while leaving it to the default gets you the RAF side. Operation Seelowe was, in effect, grayed-out and I didn't realize it was selectable. The TF campaign in 4.3 had separate buttons for choosing red or blue. I appreciate your help.

So far, I'm impressed with 4.5 and the improvements it brings. Other than having to buy a drive and install the 64-bit version of my OS to run it, I've had no problems with launching the game or playing it. TF is to be commended for their tireless work for the CloD community and for those helpful folks such as yourself. It will be interesting to see what 5.0 brings to the table besides expanded maps and flyable aircraft. I'm hoping the AI, both friend and foe, will be improved. It would be nice to get a landing request approved for a change instead of "denied". I like the new gun sounds and the way g-induced blackouts are depicted, but getting visuals on other aircraft is much more difficult for me unless they are very near. I find this particularly true over the water. Keep up the good work, guys.

My apologies to the community. It's been a very long time since I've had anything to do with a flight sim other than Condor.

It seems Google has shut down Google Code, meaning the source code is difficult or impossible to obtain. Looks like Airwarfare is gone, too. I've attached a zip file containing the campaign and its source code.

The campaign is licensed under GPLv3. I'm not an expert in open source licenses, but from what I understand, it allows you to modify and distribute the code and accompanying files to your hearts content so long as any modifications made are in turn released publicly. That was my intention, anyway. There should be no need for permission from me to include the campaign in other projects. If I have done something incorrectly, please let me know and I will do what I can to correct that. My email address is simply my user name @gmail.com.

Hi folks

I still have my version of odens base code for a dynamic Campaign that used to work in version 4.312.

It was always my dream to create a system not unlike rowans Battle of Britain II in which you could create an order of battle , move and assign squadrons, have squadron affected by morale and generally run a Battle of Britain Campaign or any other battle scenario by simply changing the ini files.

My code released some of this but I would like to do a re-write. I have an outline of what I would like but I need someone who can code a windows program outside of the game engine to access the current ini (text) files and create a GUI for this.

Anyone interested in helping me drop me a pm and I can send you the outline I have created

Hi,

I'm trying to use The Enlightened Florist Dynamic Campaign v2 for Blitz/COD. Is there a setting to fly as a wingman rather than as the leader? There seems to have been a v3 that has this option but I cant find a working link to it. Any help is appreciated.
