Found this little gem on the 'Tube' the other day.

Video called "Day in the Life of a British Squadron During World War Two".

Shows a Beaufighter unit in the Western Desert. The quality is not brilliant and the watermark logo is annoying. However, it shows the 'Beau' in action against both shipping and enemy transport convoys.

The 'BT' squadron codes seen on the aircraft in the clip identify them as belonging to 252 Squadron based at Edku (Idku) located to the East of Alexandria, Egypt.

Things I found particularly of interest;

1:18 mins Armourer's loading 303 ammo into the wing machine guns. 1:30 mins Armourer's cleaning/oiling the 20mm Hispano cannon. 1:56 mins Fitting the cannons back into the fuselage blast tubes. 2:06 mins 60 round cannon drum magazines prior to loading. 3:31 mins A good shot of a Beaufighter Observers position fitted with a Vickers 'K' machine gun.

Hope you like the video.

TFS 5.0 will be with us soon (two weeks! Hehe!). :thumbsup:
