Hi all.

You've probably seen a few of us around in the SIM since the start of the year, however it is now I am proud to announce that 334th Eagle Squadron are now ACTIVE in IL2 Cliffs of Dover Blitz, and are working up their combat skills.
As one of the, if not the oldest squadrons in the IL2 Sturmovik series of games. I'm happy to say our members are rapidly taking up the SIM and it seems the squadron has a good future. We're still active in IL2 1946 so if you fly both then look us up!!

If you would like to fly with us, join us on our Teamspeak Server (details below) and come and join in the fun. If we're in a channel you have no access to, send one of us a poke via teamspeak and we'll come and speak to you. We have pilots from Europe, the USA, Australia and the Americas, so cover a few different timezones.

If you'd like to join the squadron, take a look at our website and leave us a message in our recruitment office there.

We like to fly organised missions with multiple aircraft and co-ordinate on our own teamspeak server, (details below). Fun is the main reason we come together and it's something that draws us all in further.

Hi 334th_Padre...

I remember you guys from the IL2 '46 Hyperlobby years...Good to see you guys back...~S~

Before I make my world famous welcome post to you (below)...I'd just like to ask that if you like CLOD and BLITZ then its a good idea to leave a positive review (in any language) in the STEAM forum...That way we will get to see more of what the TFS have to offer in the future...It helps keep THE DREAM ALIVE!...

...Lew...

Welcome to the Community and Forums 334th_Padre and The 334th Squadron...~S~

Checkout the 'Beginners Guide'...for info and tips...It will save you a heap of time in getting up to scratch.....and its a really fun learning curve too...

Beginners Guide (http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5058&p=52711)

Windows Management Guide (http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3273)

Also try youtube for startup procedures on all the aircraft...

I recommend getting in the online server as soon as you can take off if that's ultimately where you'd like to fly...I flew single player for 30 minutes before I took the plunge...The ATAG online server is a great environment to learn and there's not really any damage you can do in there as a new player.....It is also mission based just with real players trying to foil your objectives...If you are concerned then pick an airstrip furthest from the front line (there always is one or two on every map) and get some alt before you go hunting...You'll get tagged a lot but there are tricks you learn out of pure desperation in those first few weeks that you'll be able to use later...I know cos I still use the same tricks I learned then too because they work...and never underestimate the stall to get you out of a tight fix...That sometimes works too...

TeamSpeak is optional but you'll learn a whole lot faster with it even if you say very little once you are on the server...You are quite welcome to just listen if you feel more comfortable with that....so you don't actually need a mic either...Try it and see!

It’s wonderful to see the 334th here, Padre.

Shoot me a Private Mail if your squad would like a dedicated TeamSpeak channel, with any subchannels as needed.

Cheers!

Wow what a great response. I didn't expect that .....
Thank you all for the posts welcoming us and S!

First let me apologise to ATAG_Vampire for disliking his post ..... Epic click fail as I was just looking at your like feature on the forum and got it very wrong and couldn't change my selection. !!!

@ATAG_Pattle .... no New South Welshmen here but we have a plonker from Ballarat, and another out on the west coast of Oz.

@TWC_Fatal_Error ... thanks for jumping over to our teamspeak earlier and having a chat and explaining a few things.. Now I need a new rig (eventually) roflmao

@ATAG-Lewis ... Thanks for your welcome post. I'll try to get the guys to leave a review if it helps, we're all about contributing to the community if we can. Your guides/posts have helped immensely already with us helping some of our guys get set up, and there's no doubt we'll be back to them for reference as we immerse ourselves further. There's a lot of info out there, as expected, and we're literally just getting our feet wet at the moment but over time we'll get there. Your links on this post make it an ideal reference point for our pilots so thank you.

Now I wonder how many of you are licking your lips at the thought of some fresh meat :p :-P

We bite back .... eventually roflmao
