Starting at 21:00 GMT [16:00 EST]

Plan for 16 participants

CUSTOM SKINS!



So if you would like to come and just watch from a spawned in plane, mark down "Spectator" and come see the action first hand over head.



Event Itinerary

- Everyone try and get on TS 15-20 min before start

- @2100GMT we will walk through the start up of the Tiger Moth (can be tricky for some) (5-10min)

- Everyone taxi to their starting spots (5min)

- Run 1vs1 (16 fight's @ 3-5min each) (50-70min)

- Take off at the same time (head to head, or together) then turn and fight to the death over the airfield.

- Free-For_All for the remaining time.(Open to all if we get more then 16) (15-30 min+)

Help needed.

I would be interested except that there is a technical problem. Whenever I am in a either model of the Moth the guns fire so low that I can not see the tracers, so almost impossible to aim. It there is a site where I can experiment with settings before the 2nd. I might figure it out, or someone knows what is wrong.

I had a quasi-similar issue with mine, but I just upped the horizontal/vertical convergence to 1000, and now it hits what I aim for.

Ah, so is my upload speed the reason for delay, and does the complexity of the skin effect load time?

I was in TFS server with KWings and it took about 5 mins to load my Shark Moth.

That color code is missing the sheet covering the first seat on the 2a, and the trim between the flight controls.[ie rudder elevator etc.]

The sheet is in the blank space where the orange area is, and some of the other locations are at the bottom.


Finding these even with the panel finder[rainbow skin] was a pita.

I made that one years ago and never ended up making a skin for the Moth.

Chances are it's not 100%

But more of a starting off point to locate stuff and make some quick masks in PS. :salute:

It's taking an age to find the boundaries of the various parts. I've not done much on the fuselage because I'm having a lot of trouble finding its boundary. But I've tightened up the boundaries of the wings in this:

unfortunately I have been very busy for the last 2 weeks (Chicago snow) and was unable to finish the 5 skins I had planed for the Moth swat :( on top of that I got the dates wrong (thought it was the 3rd).

We messed around with loading skins last Wednseday.*
200-500kb took about 5 minutes,
1mb took about 15-20 minutes,
2mb took 30-45 minutes.

So I would say as a rule of thumb try to aim for 1mb or less.

Last night was just as fun as the tournament and I've taken away some useful info. :thumbsup:

DRock, while you were away from the server I put your advice about turning to good use against Lord Wukits, sending him into a stall. Yes!

Lord Wukits, I'll be using the Hammer and the Yo-yo quite a lot.

Yo, I appreciate the time you are putting into these events. They,re a lot of fun.

Lord Wukits, I'll be using the Hammer and the Yo-yo quite a lot.

Keep in mind if you try some of these maneuvers when the opponent has more e[energy] or more potential e[mean they are higher than you] it is suicide.
An example is the hammer/hammerhead. If you noticed at the top you hang there... can make for an easy target.
