Hallo Flieger, here is SKG 210_Mölders speaking!!!

I'm the leader of the Luftwaffe unit named Schnellkampfgeschwader 210.
( In short the SKG 210 ).

The SKG 210 is a group of players who get online together to have fun flying the Messerschmitt Bf 110 variants available in the following PC games:

- IL2 Sturmovik: Great Battles
- IL2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz

The SKG 210 is a virtual Luftwaffe unit specialized in flying heavy fighters ( Jagd ) and heavy fighter-bombers ( Schlacht ) operations and sorties, exclusively with the Messerschmitt Bf 110.

So far the SKG 210 flies the following Messerschmitt Bf 110 variants:

- Bf 110 C-2
- Bf 110 C-4
- Bf 110 C-4 Late
- Bf 110 C-4/N
- Bf 110 C-4/NJG
- Bf 110 C-4B
- Bf 110 C-6
- Bf 110 C-7
- Bf 110 E-2
- Bf 110 G-2

The unit DOES NOT requires any exclusive participation ( so if you are already part of another online unit it doesn't matter ) and it DOES NOT requires any particular level of experience ( so you can be a newbie willing to learn how to fly the aircraft or already an " Experten " ).

The SKG 210 DOES NOT requires any particular time availability nor any fixed day to play online...if you have available a bit of time and you are willing to play online with other Bf 110 pilots like you, well, you need simply to join us on TeamSpeak3 and the game is done!

If you play it's because you enjoy it, it's because you want to do it, it's because it's something that relaxes you and that provides you fun... Nobody here will ever ask you to be online if you don't really want to do it!
The SKG 210 pilots fly for the pure pleasure of doing it!

The main objective of the SKG 210 is to try to regroup the major number of pilots passionate about the Messerschmitt Bf 110, while providing, at the same time, an environment that could encourages the fun, the teamwork, the self-improvement and the camaraderie, but without becoming overly competitive.

There are two ways to join the SKG 210:

1- You have to contact me and communicate to me your intention to join the SKG 210 unit as an official member. This will imply that, if your request will be accepted, you will have to add the tag " SKG210_ " before your Steam username ( sample: SKG 210_Mölders ).
This option is recommended to those players that are NOT YET part of any online unit or that are already part of an online squadron but that are available to change their Steam username every time that they will play with the SKG 210.

2- You are already part of an online squadron and you DO NOT want to change your team nor your Steam username but you want to fly with the SKG 210 when you are willing/available to do it.
In this case you need to contact me and I will add you simply to the SKG 210 guests list ( or rather the list of the pilots that intends to participate to this project but that do not intend to join the unit as an official unit member ).
Be clear, if you belong to this category of players, that is it's not my intention to " steal " any member from any other squadron nor now nor ever.
My only sincere intention, as said above, is to try to regroup as many as possible, Messerschmitt Bf 110 pilots and have fun all together!

Please note also that this " invite " is also fully available for those really unfortunate pilots that normally fly for the Allies but that they intend to try to fly with the Messerschmitt Bf 110 out of the official squadron duties and commitments.

The standard language used for the online communications by the pilots of the unit it's the English language ( We DO NOT require Oxford levels of spoken English but your spoken English MUST BE understandable, clear and fluent )

Mölders is a good teacher. When I first started he took the time to get me up and running in a Stuka, of all things. If anyone can show you the 110 ropes, it'll be him. They're a beast and great fun to fly, particularly if the Beaufighter Brigade are around!

This evening I have had a very nice training session with Noofy about the Bf 110. He acted and performed extremely well during his first sortie of ever in the " flying brick "!!! Very well done Flieger!!!

I'm actually considering it to possibly expand the batch of players that could be reached and interested by this project. In particular, as you mentioned above, I'm considering to add the Messerschmitt Bf 109 Jabos and the Fw 190s in the same role.

Following the suggestion by Cybermat45 ( Proposal that I really like! ) this evening I've purchased also IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Bodenplatte to mainly check\test if the Fw 190 D-9 could be an aircraft that could be possibly added to the ones flown by the SKG 210 in the next future.

This evening I've flown a couple of sorties with the pilots of the 123 UK Virtual Squadron on the russian front.

We have had a lot of fun and good laughts while delivering some " Deutsch Friendship Canisters " over the Ivans airfield!

Epic night of fun on the ATAG server thanks to Noofy, TWC_Prop and No.119_Viper (VK-S)!
It was a lot of time I didn't have so many laughts while flying and having dogfights " to the last blood " at the same time :)
This is exactly, in opinion, how the online gaming should be always: lot of fun and laughts while flying our preferred " virtual beauties " in conjunction with very skilled virtual pilots flying around!

Well, actually I have a precise story that I would like to use as base for the SKG 210 comics ( but I will not tell you which one otherwise I will ruin you the surprise! ;) ).

Let's say, in general, that the story will took inspiration from a quite rare sortie report written by a Luftwaffe pilot that includes a lot of interesting stuffs ( or at least I hope so ).

Actually both me and my wife ( she is a very good draftswomen ) are writing\drawing the general storybook together.
As said this is something on which we work only during free time so I do not know if and when it will be released but so far the " SKG 210 comics " project is becoming quite fun to be done.

The character depicted above it's one of the ones that we are evaluating to use. Here, for example, is another one that we are considering because we are still deciding if using a " cartoon style " ( as the one that I've posted above ) or a " real life " style ( as the one that you'll see below ) for the characters that eventually will be included in the story.

This evening we have started to put together an initial image for evaluating various stuffs ( note that this is just a test image so is full of imperfections ) including if the idea we have in mind is feasible.
Here is what we achieved so far and it has been quite useful to get a first glimpse about what could work, what could not, what colour suits better and so on.
The way is still long but somehow, slowly slowly, the idea takes shape. ;)
