I remember the searchlights worked in the past with additionnal generator, but I can no longer make it work...
Is it still possible to use the searchlight ?

Nope - the search light does everything but turn the light on.

Here's a test mission that should work but doesn't :(

Here no.

The crew move the searchlight, tracking enemy planes, but no visible light at ~1:40AM.

The night is strange now, the sky is dark, but earth is too clear...

They should work, but you have to place a working generator, and an "audio spotter thingy" (can't remember what they're called, but it looks like it has a bunch of loud speakers attached to it. It's used to listen for incoming aircraft). Both have to be within a certain proximity around them.

Watchman got them to work I believe (haven't seen him around in a while). There should also be a template on one of the Russian websites (can't remember which one, I lost my favorites). I remember watchman saying you needed the generator and the goofy looking spotter thing. I think there is a trigger as well that sets the generator proximity. I haven't looked at it in a long time.

We were just talking about that the other night. Someone also mentioned that besides the generator, you somehow have to define that electricity is in the aera...
I will report if my squad-mate can make them work!

Version 1.03 and 1.04 lights from searchlights are little different that version 1.05 lights and next.

Yes, using generator and AI object is the correct procedure.
Actually the searchligh still work - in matter of detect and track enemy planes - what happen is that searchligh light are not turn on.
Some graphic alteration made by MG in last official patchs affect the light...

The Luthier drama: fix one thing broken two or three...

Ooops! I didn't check recently.

It seems like lighting changed a heck lot one of these patches.
