looks like a good cast, decent director...lets hope they read the book "shattered sword" by parshall and tully. cant be any worse than pearl harbour can it? i never really liked the 1970s one. cant find any previews yet

Can't find any trailers for it, must be fresh!
Would be interesting to see what it is like. I do not have hopes of modern movie making like that of Zulu, Waterloo and Battle of Britain, but who knows, maybe there is one top notch director lurking around there somewhere ;)

If their CGI looks like this "SDB" (?) of the poster, better not have much faith. :D

Since 'Independence Day Patriot' Emmerich is the director it will certainly be very loud and very explosive ...
I'm pretty sure I won't miss it if I miss it.

Admiral Chester Nimitz played by woody H.

I will give it a go!

Roland Emmerich? It's going to be horrible. May as well consider it Pearl Harbor 2: The Revenge.

Man, looks AMAZING

I love how they are shoehorning Pearl Harbor and the Doolittle Raid into this crap as well.

We should tell Team Fusion that now we have proof that it makes sense to attack battle ships with MGs.
Its in the movie, so it must be right!

U guys r way too critical. At least some in the new generations will see it and realise what a remarkable feat the Battle of Midway was.
Most youngsters know beans about WW2 anyway, apart from what they glean from Marvel Comics movies about Captain America's exploits against Hydra.

Had high hopes but just saw the trailer - Pearl Harbor 2: The Revenge looks to be an accurate description so far.

I will definitely go see it..CGI or not.

All it’s missing is Keanu Reeves and a box of sharpened pencils. :recon:

Probably right Snap.. not sure why they feel the need to over do these films..just the Hollywood way I guess. More sometimes isn't always better. .. but hey. It's WWII themed and I will always support the military movies if only to honor the ones that played a part in it! S!

Not sure what you're talking about, I think it looks entertaining! I think it's worth a watch! If it's historical accuracy your looking for, might I suggest the History Channel or the Documentary Channel (please pay no mind to the black and white footage ... it wasn't until the late 50's early 60's that people started seeing in color)
:)

Interesting, the sequence at 1:40 of the trailer (https://youtu.be/l9laReRAYFk?t=99), looks "Hollywood" thing - the guy in the gunner position of a parked SDB shoot down a G3M Nell.
But is based on real life event, during Enterprise raid against Marshall Islands in 1, February 1942. The guy meet a tragic death following Midway battle.
