If you put other skins in that folder do they show? The folder might need renaming (by us) if no skins are showing.

check the name of the folder for Hurricane I rotol 100oct skins.
If the name is "Hurricane MkI_100oct", change it to "HurricaneMkI_100oct".
Many skin folders have wrong names. Both in the game installation folder, and in your Documents folder.

you have already listed several skin folders with incorrect names. I think there are more of them though.

Some folders have two versions, for example:
tobruk_CR42_Trop and tobruk_CR-42_Trop in Documents
HurricaneMkI_NF and HurricaneMkI-NF in Documents
tobruk_D520_Serie1 and tobruk_D520_Serie2 in Documents

A folder for BR 20 Trop version is missing completely - both in Documents, and in steam folder.

I suppose folders for other Italian planes may be incorrect too. But I think I have renamed some of them so I can't say it for sure now.

The best way how to find out what the correct folder names are is checking the code. I guess the names the game looks for should be somewhere there.

Oh, I have a list of all the codes, but that didn't stop me missing a few mistakes I'd made, unfortunately!
It's not helped by the fact that the GUI, Skin-Folders, and Default skin-folders are each using different names for the same plane. It can be confusing. It's easy to leave a gap in the name, or to write a dash instead of an underline (both are used).
I had checked all of the folder names for the new plane types before release of DW. So most of those should be right. A while ago (around Blitz release) there were some older skin folders that went missing from the game, and I probably didn't double check those names after I re-introduced them onto the game
Also some skin folders possibly changed names over the years.
That's just about all the excuses I can think of :)

I think there were originally going to be two D520 variants, and that was changed. It (series 2) has probably remained in your documents folder; but is probably not in the game folder (it's not in mine): C/progams/ Steam/steamapps/common / Il2... /paint schemes /skins...
The same goes for the 'HurricaneMkI-NF' and 'HurricaneMkI_NF', they are possibly only in Documents (EDIT: The correct nightfigher folder is 'HurricaneMkI_100oct-NF').

You are right, the Br20 trop is missing. That is a puzzle, as it is not in my list of folder names. That may suggest they share the same folder (guessing). I'll test it to see if there is a working skin folder name, and add it to the game if so.

[EDIT : Yes, a Br20 trop skin folder can be created as 'tobruk_BR-20M_Trop'.
The 'tobruk_CR-42_Trop' can be removed from your skin folder.
I'll make a submission with these changes for inclusion in a future update... including the Hurricane skin folder changes]

i had a break from skinning but would like to get back into it, but im having same trouble with spitfire mk lla and mkv skins ive created not showing up how do i do it again lol

You can put the skins here, in the user files:

C:\Users\stu dent.000\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\PaintSchemes\Skins

Or if you want a more permanent change, then put them in the skin folder in the game files; here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\PaintSchemes\Skins

Make sure you chose a Tobruk folder for desert skins. Example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\PaintSchemes\Skins\tobruk_SpitfireMkVb

They need to be jpg format 2048x2048 size.

Some quick/single missions will not show your chosen skin if it is the player's plane, they always show the one chosen by the mission builder. Go to Full Mission Builder, open the mission file, and change the skin there (and save the mission), and it should work.

If you want to test if your skin works at all, then create a new mission in mission builder, and use your skin on a non-player plane (and save the mission). Start the mission and see if it shows.
