The bf 110 is one of II/JG53's favourite planes when not on official missions in our bf109 and JU88!
We have put together a introductory document for the bf110.

I hope you find it interesting.

Very interesting, lots of very useful information and very well laid out.

I was hoping to discover some trick to better survivability in what is a great aircraft to fly but its not there. I've made the mistake though of taking on two higher and well flown 110s in a spitfire when I learned that with teamwork the 110 can be very effective.

Thanks for sharing,

Septic.

Very good info there, you might also want to share with your guys some of the information contained at the link below as well.

Have a look at the fuel section in particular:

P1 = Engine Specific Pump #1 (not tank 1)
P2 = Engine Specific Pump #2 (not tank 2)
P1.u.P2 = Engine Specific Pump #1 and #2.

Twins are such fun, can't wait for the Beau to become available then some real dogfights can break out!:-)

After watching a few youtube vids of ingame 110's in action, and flying it online last night, its not the easiest aircraft to survive in!

Thanks for the Wiki link. I had not explored the fuel situation post the TF patch.
well done!

Herr Speyer,
Great fun though if you can get two bf110 working together against a single opponent. Not sure if the gunner situation has been resolved as yet (does not function correctly last time I checked). But once this is fixed and if you can get someone to sit in the back it would at least keep the opposition honest! At the moment the 110 AI gunner poses no threat to opponents coming in to point blank range and letting rip.

Fly it like a dart! Turn as little as possible. Brilliant in anti-shipping and ground attack roles.

Have fun with it!

re Bombs not exploding on Luftwaffe aircraft

Ensure you have the following (two) functions mapped to a key:
1. Bombs Short Delay
2. Bombs Armed
Both of these have a "toggle" function - on/off.
Both have to be set to "on".

At the loadout screen ensure your bombs have the correct fuse - generally for bf110 - low level.

Do you need to set a key or can you do it in cockpit via the mouse pointer?

to arm the bombs and set salvo or single you can do in cockpit or set buttons. whatever you prefer.

Love flying the 110 now, once I remapped a few controls. Sank my first ship with a 250kg and can actually land the thing unscathed!
Its pretty fast once you wind it up to speed.

If you are interested in flying the 110 as a team with a dedicated 109 parent squadron as a protective umbrella might I suggest you check us out at http://www.5jg27.net/f3-join-us. A short flight school is in order and once you gain your wings you can fly with us in our weekly campaign with the ACG. As always you can fly with us in multiplayer on the ACG or ATAG servers.

When do the Bf110 classes start and who is teaching? I'm ready ...... I can fly it but past that ... I have little idea what I'm about.
