A chap that gets on TS named Bob Doe is a French Canadian that can't understand English very well. I feel sorry for the guy as he is trying to ask all sorts of questions noone can answer.

So if you know of any French speaking Clod squads, please come help this guy out or send him their way. Nothing worse than trying to communicate and you are not understood.

The only active French crew that I have ever seen are the FAFL_ guys (Free French) but I don't know how to get in touch with them I'm afraid.

There is a guy who's often on coms who goes by the name "Tintin" who is French.

He might also be part of the FR squad I think....

I am pretty sure French Canadian is quite different to regular French.

I've heard it is as well. But it's gotta be a far cry better than French to English.

There are differences, but they can understand each other just fine.

Sort've like American English vs The Queen's English. Then again, New Jerseyites speak a different dialect, don't they? :getaway::hide:

Perhaps 92 Sqn. Mike might be able to help if needed.

Don't speak Gallic, but I do understand Glaswegian, which I understand puts me in the 0.00001% of frenchmen who do.

as pointed by Nacy, you have a some of the most active french speaking squadron on Clodo.
As a member of the OBT, I do speak a perfect french... or call it belgian though as we seems to talk about dialects, and as Belgian I speak a french language very close to french but still a tiny bit different.

I don't know what's the exact purpose of this request, but as mentioned aboved, if you have a question to the french community just address it to the Checksix Forum. There you will find most of the french community for Clodo.

and yes, french canadian is different of the "european french" in the way that they use some expression with a totally different meaning, wich make it very colourful to listen to as european. But we do understand each other...
