What is the correct way to use the supercharger in stuka? I use it above 2200m, but i have to reduce the power almost half or the engine blows in 2 minutes. How do you (stuka pilots) use it?

cut the prob pitch back to 60-65 then engage the charger. also close the water rad before you dive and be careful when u reopen after the dive, make sure your speed isnt too high.

There is an important difference between il-2 and clod. In the IL-2, the engine performance depended only the throttle %. In the clod, the engine performance depend directly on the manifold pressure and the engine rpm. The thottle % only secondary thing! Of course there are exceptions, for example the 109 have automatic manifold pressure control device, so under 4500 meter the performance % depend directly on the throttle % and engine rpm. Above 4500 m is no longer, because the compressor can't provide enough air pressure, so you can't reach the operational limits even with full throttle.

The Stuka cruising performance operational limit is 1.1 ata manifold pressure (and 2100 rpm). You should keep these values during the flight, and you'll be fine. You can take off with full gas, and fly a couple of minutes with full gas, but if you airborne, pull back the throttle (yes, even below 60% if that neccessary). When you start climbing, this ata will fall, so you schould add more and more power to keep the 1.1 ata. When you reach the 2500 meter, you can switch the supercharger to the 2nd gear. Be careful, if the supercharger switch, the pressure jump to 1.4 ata, so you should pull back the throttle imediately.

Good to know, the supercharger switch working a little weird way. You can switch on or off any time, but if you switch ON below 2500 meter, the supercharger do nothing. It will switch the compression rate automaticaly at 2500 meter (and switch off automaticaly if you fly under 2500 m). This is dangerous, because on 2500 meter you have 0.9 ata with full throttle, so probably you will fly with full power. If you do not notice when the compression jump to 1.4 ata, it can kill the engine within minutes, so it's worth to wait until you reach the 2500m, and you switch the supercharger "manually".
