Can someone help with instructions for having multiple installs on the same PC?
I would like to have an unmodded install together with a modded install.
I know it is possible to cut and paste the maddox.dll file back and forth to change from unmodded to modded, but it is not that simple if you are using add ons such as desastersoft and other user content, which I do. (As I understand, the mod creates a new folder and the Desastersoft folders also have to be copied into that folder in order to work.) I am sure this is just one of many complications that will arise in coming months and make it logical to have more than one install.
For example, mission/campaign builders may find it easier to have an unmodded/vanilla version to be sure their missions/campaigns/scripts work equally on the unmodded and modded versions. And who is to say the TF mod will be the only one? We are now moving into a world with potentially multiple versions of CoD (UP/HSFX/DBW/4.11 anyone?). It is just cleaner to have multiple installs than cutting and pasting files back and forth. I'm just not sure how to do it!
Many thanks in advance,
Heiny
