Hi folks,
I constantly see people struggling with Target programming for their Thrustmaster devices. I thought I'd post a few files that might give you a place to start.
For the last few years, I've been working on Target configurations for CoD and RoF. I always intend to completely finish these, including documentation and diagrams for all the controls - but never seem to have time to get to it all.
I face a bit of additional difficulty in that I use a very non-standard setup - i.e. Cougar joystick (U2Nxt) with Warthog throttle, 2nd Cougar Throttle with pots ported to a project box, 2X Cougar MFD's with small USB monitors, 2 X Saitek throttle quadrants, Saitek TPM, Saitek Combat Pedals.
Mapping all the functions in CoD is particularly daunting - if one desires an ergonomically efficient setup for both fighters and bombers. Additionally, there is only so much you can do with the "Target GUI", it's very limiting for me and of course takes up more processing overhead and is slow when compared to using script editor to run *.ttm/*.tmc files.
Many of the examples I've seen in forums for these files, use high level key generation versus direct USB codes - which again execute and compile faster and more efficiently.
So here are my current *.ttm/*.tmc files for CoD - which with a little editing and customization on your part can maximize the use of your Warthog/Cougar controller in CoD. There are some useful routines that are not documented anywhere that I'm aware of that you may find useful.
Couple of notes:
1) These are setup for Cougar Joystick/MFD/Warthog throttle - by editing the variables you can easily modify for your own setup. I've attempted to document within these files suggestions on how certain functions work and what you might do to customize.
2) I've attempted to focus commands for weapons/flight/view controls on Joystick (Warthog joystick is identical to the cougar with the exception of the extra pushbutton on Hat4) with Engine controls on Throttle whenever possible.
Files:
2343
Hopefully Warthog users who are struggling with the structure and application of proper Target programming will find these a useful start to getting the most out of CoD and their Warthog's.
S!
