ATAG: My first flight to 23,000 feet. Recorded in 720p or 1080p

My first flight online to 23,000 feet to see contrails was exciting from start to finish.

Actual gameplay with personal notes added.

Team Fusion v1 (3.00) Mod is Now Available

If you're not familiar with the mod, this will highlight some of the new playability of the sim. Cliffs of Dover is living up to its full potential at 60fps and high settings with the work of ATAG and TEAM FUSION. w/SweetFX. During and at the end of video you really can get the feel for high speed passes and smooth action (even while landing and explosions)

3:30 smiley face!

Lovely vid, really very atmospheric. Annotations very good as well, inspiring.

I tried the Hurri the other day, only barely made it to 20,000 feet where she wallowed like a pig. Should I be able to get her higher, or do I need a Spittie for that?

I'd love to get some footage of bombers with contrails. Did atag put in such high flyers in the ai missions coming across, I wonder...

Nice vid!

I tried how high i could get a spitIIa and ended up 34000 feet.
strangely though the stall speed at that altitude was 65 knots indicated.
I know this is not the same as 65 knot at sea level normally that is.
I'm unaware if the sim takes in to account the 6 percent lower IAS per 3000 feet aprox.
Still I was suprised that it was posible.

cheers,

Niels

The IAS/TAS differential is implemented in the game.

In CoD, to get the smooth zooming in/zooming out, you have to go into: Control options, Camera, And set "Hold to adjust view" to whichever button you prefer (keyboard or joystick) - If you then hold down that button and move your mouse forward or backward it will change the field of view in a gradual way. It is an ok option to have, but it would be much better if CoD allowed you to set a "zoom in"-button and a "zoom out"-button, as in - for example - RoF.
