View Full Version : Hello from a French in Montreal :D
Hi pilots
My name is Mat, I'm a 24 yo. Just landed in Montreal (less than 2 months!). I'm from Nice, France. Wanted to do something new that's the reason why I cross the Atlantic :D
Anyway, I'm a passionate about history in general but especially about WWII and airplanes !
Have CoD since its release but as the release was really bad (my PC couldn't run it) I stop playing it. I discovered RoF 6 months ago and just love it.
A few days ago I watched a CoD video and I was just :P:P:P Since that, I can't stop watching these fantastic videos. Can't play right now because I have no PC here (yet :D)
I plan to get a really good computer who can run this game at its maximum !
The thing is that I've never played to this game (flew a bit on the previous il2 but never online). That's why I came here, first to present myself. I found this server/website thanks to all the videos. ATAG was everywhere :D
I hope I could fly with some nice mates who could "teach" me or gimme some advice.
I think this is it. Thank you all
ps : sorry for my english if there are mistakes
Mat :)

Bienvenue, Mat!
Glad to see I'm not the only Francophone in here! I guess we're (literally) in the same boat... or the same island...
Thank you :)
I see you are in Montreal too :D
Je presume que tu parles Francais donc ? ^^

Absolument! Heck, I was born here.
:)
I stick to english on TeamSpeak and on the forums though (for obvious reasons).
Do you fly in real life?
Oh ok good :)
Yeah for sure. Hope my english would be good enough I one day I come on teamspeak :D
Are there a lot of players in our time zone ?

Your english is fine, don't fret :)
There are a couple of players in our time zone, so I don't think it should be a problem. People are generally more active on the server & on the forums during the week-end.
Writing is easier than speaking :D
Yeah, like everywhere, week end are always crowded
There are a number of quebecers here on the forums and on TS,you will also find a number of native French speakers as well
Salute Ohmie:thumbsup:

Hi Benty and welcome to the forum! I was born and raised in Montreal, but sadly my ability to speak French is very poor. Then again, some players on Teamspeak would say my English is very poor, too! :-)
Feel free to use this forum to hook up with other French-speaking players. We have many spare Teamspeak channels, so you are more than welcome to use any of them if you find it better to speak your native language while flying.
Hahaha so what language do you speak ? :P
I'd like to speak english with other players too, it will be a pleasure to meet you all
Thanks for the welcome

It should run CloD just fine, don't worry.
Just out of curiosity, how much does this setup cost approximately?
Ok great because this is the reason why I stopped playing this game. My computer couldn't run it ...
It will cost like 1300$ approximately

WD colour codes the HDs. some are better for raid, some are faster cache. all the guides ive read suggest a black for games. it prob doesn't really matter in long run...
Yeah I saw the black should be a bit better. But I think i'm gonna bo with the blue anyway

Is there the bf 109 "buchon" in the game ?
Nope Buchons are Spanish 109s with merlin engines and they did not fight in Battle of Britain for obvious reasons.
Oh ok there are spanish. Didn't know. Love that plane :(
What 109 models are available in this game ?
(I want to fly on 109 when i get my setup :D)

Don't worry, the 109 is pretty much the same, all that is different is the engine.
In the game, there is an E-1, and E-3, E-4, and with the new Team Fusion Patch, An E-4N.

I disagree :D

I love the part under the engine :)
Anyway, thanks for the list. Looking forward to play this game !
