Still haven't got the problem solved.

Tried on a Win7 box and got CLR20r3 error, even after updating .net to 4.5.

Tried it on a Win8 laptop, same problem, installer won't start.

Downloaded from a different mirror, same issues.

Are you unpacking the files 1st? I use WinRar for instance.

Yes, tried with winRar and 7-Zip.

Also run as Admin, and tired all the compatibility settings.

Sounds like a netframework issue.

Go to ProgramFiles(x86)/Steam/steam apps/common/Il2 Cliffs of Dover/ Redist

In the Redist folder you can repair and update anything from directx to netframework etc.,etc. Just run all those apps and let it do a verify and repair. Then try starting the game.

That's my guess!

fherb,

Did you get the game through Steam and have steam installed and running as the same user you are running the installer as?

Colander.

ATAG_Bliss,

Ran all the files in redist: the netframework program didn't work get this message "Microsoft .NET Framework 4 is already a part of this operating system. You do not need to install the .NET Framework 4 redistributable".

I've tried using dotnetfx_cleanup tool, I've also run the NetfxRepair tool both from MS site.

Issue remains.

Only one user on my machine, so same user is running mod installer as to one who installed COD.

Maybe only thing to solve is to re-install windows, but don't want to install every other program again. Never had problem like this before.

I can open mod installer.exe using 7-zip to see the contents, but can't do much from there.

And you extracted the contents of the zip folder to your desktop before you installed correct?

Something else that may help: Can you change the compatibility for the program to run. For instance try making it run for compatibility for Vista/Win7?

But your clean install works just fine?

Yes clean install of COD runs fine

Yes running mod installer.exe which has been extracted to desktop and tired other locations on other hard drives. used WinRar to extract, also tried 7-zip to extract.

Yes tried all compatibility settings with and without admin.

Hi all,

I have the same - only on Windows 7. Tried downloading the Mod Installer (3.00) from three different places, but when I double-click the .exe nothing happens. Checked everything in redist, but all is newer/same. Screenshots and videos of the TF mod are tantalising. Please help? Is there no manual way of installing the mod?
