To be clear, this was NOT made by me .....

My first short made in 3d Max with Mental Ray render engine, for postproduction use After Effects and Audition for sound.
This film is inspired by a tribute to 361 FG that operated in Little Walden airfield England during WWII.
Some planes belong to aces from real life, names or nicknames are not real ...
Almost all models are own creation unless the Me 109 Lejczak belonging to Anders.

As far as I've read it is complete animation, no Flight Sim. When I first saw it I thought, DCS, but the author says not ..... neat stuff this.

1) with an oil leak like that he should only fly for 2mn30s

2) 109E's against 51s? come on, planeset!

Great little film....;)

I didn't really like it. The dogfighting was strangely on rails, with the planes mainly flying straight and level for some reason. Also, the prop animation is weird: a prop does not look like that to the human eye, with blurry blades slowly rotating. A turning prop just looks like a disk to human eyes. Anyway, big effort by the maker, I salute that.

Agree. If it was a flight sim, the aircraft wouldn't be executing what look like 20G turns, nor would the P-51 catch up to the B-17 and suddenly slow to their speed as if it had retro thrusters or a braking parachute.

I also found the opening sunrise sequence a little weird, as the sun rises and heads North instead of South, but maybe he used a reversed sunset for ease.

But anyway, I couldn't do it myself so hats off to the chap.

Excellent Vid - and if you like that kind of thing (and I can speak for us all when I say we all do) then you'll like these
I found them recently when looking up Japanese aces - I didn't know there were so many - definitely worth reading their bios!
I especially liked this one where Hiroyoshi Nishizawa and his wingmen put on a display over and enemy airfield - talk about balls!
I'll only do that over a blue airfield when the server says there's only one minute left:)

Well here are the vids there are many more most in Japanese and some with English subs.

Not sure what sort of program was used to create this stuff but its hard to beat Japanimation or a Zero in the hands of one of their aces

The cockpit shots looked a bit like War Thunder. I agree that it's a nice production but unrealistic flight charicteristics. The formation was weird too with the P-51 in there with the bombers. They maybe should have used a sim for the dogfight sequence. None the less, a nice looking effort and I can imagine a ton of work.
