Wish I knew how to convert music files to this 'ogg' format. It was really easy to put music of your choice in old IL2.

Any tips mate?

Yep I know, and thanks for the link. :D

I just wondered if anyone knew how to convert them aswell, say convert MP3 to .ogg........

Edit: I found this, so might give it a whirl....

I use ogg a lot for modding in the Arma series - best converter I've found (as it has so many other uses as well) is Audacity.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Hope that helps you.

An old post from me from the banana-forum.

I thought the old IL2 music was a homage.....they should throw the IJN/IJA song on sometime to mix it up.

:D All those old tunes were great....in small doses! I'm sure you could copy them and convert to .ogg, if you really wanted to.

But thanks to the above posts, I now have different music to listen to while waiting!

I'd like to use some of Wolfgang Korngold's soundtracts( Captain Blood, The Seahawk,Adventures of Robin Hood etc.) as my background music. From what I read above they need to be converted ( and probably renamed ) to this new to me OGG. format, correct? Do they also need to be shortened in any way?All this was a bit easier to do in IL-2...
Thanks for the help & I will try these new sounds in the meantime.
