Engine starter does not work

I'm brand new online and find myself in the hangar with fuel and magnetos ON, but I cannot get the engine to turn over using I. Controls options has I dedicated to toggle all engines. Any help?

That has happened to me a couple of times. Spawning in a new plane "fixes" the issue.

I am brand new to online ops. Could you please explain what spawning a new plane is and how to do it?

Just hit the escape key, select airfield and plane as you did the first time.
