This is one nice feature of DM that I saw few days ago.Unfortunately I didn't record first attack but it was one cannon round hit into the wing.
I asked some Hurri pilots and this one also and none of them never broke the wing turning at this speeds(undamaged of course).

I think that's also possible on 109 if hit into the wing on the right convergence distance but not enough to cut the wing
which is also possible but rare.

Really nice, thanks for sharing. I just can imagine what that pilot must had been thinking: "I got a fuel leak, my plane is shot up badly and I have a 109 on my tail, it doesnt get worse than th.. OH crap I just lost my wing" :)

With the current G modelling changes we introduced, all aircraft which have significant wing damage will suffer failure at lower G's than they would with a undamaged wing.

That includes 109's, 110's, Spitfires and Hurricanes as well as bombers.

This was not the case in the vanilla version.

Quick question, that is some smoooooooth track ir response, what settings do you use?

More alarming is his ability to still move the thing about.

Thanks for clarifying this Buzzsaw.

I'm using Freetrack Hoots but it doesn't look so smooth on that flash video like on original recording or in game.
You could ask someone with TrackIR for a profile.

What do you mean exactly Osprey?

In my experience when you got hit near the root of the wing plane stays maneuverable
but when the hole is in the middle its hard to turn.

Can you clarify?

Who is the "him" you refer to?
Before or after the wing falls off?
Is the maneuverability better or worse than you'd expect?
