View Full Version : "MOD" request - Afterburner
Team Fusion,
Please, in the next release chance the word "Afterburner" in "$core>Gui.txt>C_Afterbuner" and $core\i18n\Controls.txt for WEP or apropriated German word - dont use "Nachbrenner" :D , since this affect only German planes.
Edit - Maybe borrow "Notleistung" from il-2 1946.

BTW - In some moment of "Storm of War" development I request to Oleg in SimHQ to leave this GUI. INI files accessible to user, to allow players do translations for your native languages as is possible in IL-2 1946 MOD. He replies que he would check with the programmers... No luck.
Ty.

Two points ...
1. The server 'murder' messages have been removed in the 1st TF patch.
2. Investigations for the removal of the server 'murder' messages revealed that the game code does not in fact use the server.txt file for messages, but rather a seperate internal collection of messages containing inside one of the dll's is used by the code.
I look at dump files of "vanila" CloD and see this message.
Nice know that are changed - usually I dont pay attention in
servers kill messages because 99% of time I am the victim . :D
But in case of "infamous" Afterburner, editing the text file and load as Keyget MOD
change the in game message, at least offline. This appear in two or three different files.

Just in case... one command that confuse novices (in Controls.txt).
"Toggle Selected Engines - I (the "infamous" il-2 magic I :D - Well, in CloD have some "magical powers" too, like turn OFF/ON magnetos switchs...)
In CloD this command only "Start" the engine, not "Stop" then, so the word "Start" is more appropriated, no?

Good point
A little late for TF4 I'm afraid, but we will fix this in TF5 :D
Matias,
Please, add to list "Kurssteuerung" > "Autopilot" or "Course Autopilot".
Is boring see this message in Blenheim.
Even in previous versions don't make sense use German word in English GUI, you dont see "Landeklappen:down"
