Hello everyone.

We all love this game here. We are all waiting next TF patch. We all wish the Battle of Britain stay alive for years. We play it almost everyday.

It is not the secret the more the game is interesting, the more people play it. But now BoB is like huge training area with elements of war.

I do not understand scripts, I don't know how to make missions, but I have little experience of flying over Channel on ATAG server as fighter, as bomber (in all types). I have some thoughts how to make it more interesting. And by the way this idea is not belonging to me only...
The simplest mission is more reliable. I know that.

Let it be the same missions as we play every time but with some changes. Among existing targets there are all airbases as targets to destroy too. And airfield is collapsed not only by throwing the certain amount of bombs on it.
The conditions as follows:
1. All AA defense is burned
2. All buildings are leveled to the ground
3. All statics are eliminated
4. Radio tower is downed.
The result is that planes would not take off from destroyed bases (to the end of the mission or for 20-40 mins or something like that).

For example. Blue side has to destroy strategic points in England. For that purpose we need bombers and escort. If red side burns fighter and bomber fields, the blue side has less chances to win the map. And vice versa.

The same situation is with radio towers on the British coasts that make those radio report.
People want that all their actions effect on something. Not just patrolling, dog-fighting.

And one more... I've decided to write this post because we fought to the death over those fields, we organised many group operations as you might know. Hope that it was interesting for both sides
But there were no results at all except moral satisfaction or disappointment.

good idea if the 109b is removed then its a more level playing field, however have a go at flak suppression with brownings!

@Gromit, mission makers can just use targets which are not destroyed by 50lb worth of bombs, i..e requiring a heavier payload.

But, either way (109bs or not), Vit-Unit's idea is great. It would take many Jabo's to take out an airfield, given how many targets he proposes.

Look at those pictures :) It is hard to remove 109b

Dis-balance of available bombers in both side could be balanced by amount of fields for destroying. For example, Germans should burn 5 enemy bases, RAF should destroy only 2 or 3.

Your quite right mate, but that doesn't address the issue of a very fast fighter that can bomb targets then switch to an air to air role, there's no counterpart to balance it, by leaving the bombing to the twins both teams have a similar capability!

Balance the mission is not difficult. Attendance statistics server has, the statistics on the gaming side is also available. You can always send more bots, depending on the outcome of the opponent.
My suggestions would look something like this:
1. The closing of the defeated fields. Once the field is shut opens another field of the same color. As far as I know, it's possible to make a script and uploading the template field.
2. Place the opening of the new field you can always discuss the production of the mission.
3. I consider it necessary to close the field mandatory destruction of the following purposes:
* Air Defense Artillery - 100%
* Static objects (airplanes, tents, vehicles) - 75-100%, depending on the size of the field.
* Static objects (hangars, houses) - 60-80%, and the blue side of the upper limit of destruction, and a red bottom. If necessary, after the test, it is possible to change the gradation.
4. Change protection airfield depending on the number of runways and cover them. On the long concrete runway to increase the number and density of air defense.
