Hi all,

I'm just starting to play around with CoD full mission builder and see that some interesting objects have been developed for download on a different site. My question is, where is the "objects" file located that I place these pre-developed objects for later use?

Ps, can not wait for next TF patch.

Cheers.

~S~ Keeno,

You can cut, copy, & paste groups of objects, across, and within, .mis files.

If is this, just create a folder in 1c Soft Club\Il-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover\Mission\Single (place easy to find inside FMB).
To put these in map, right click and choose "Import".

To save your own sets, right click and drag a box around the group of objects.
To split a created group, left click and drag a box around the group.

Sweet!

cheers guys I couldn't find this info anywhere. The full mission builders lessons and tips are a bit scarce. I know the basics from the old iL2 and this doesn't seem to different. I'll stick to simple stuff for now cos scripting looks like dark magic.

thanks for all replies.

scripting looks like dark magic

I thought that when CoD first came out and couldn't see any way I'd ever be able to do anything with it.
However it isn't half as bad as it looks- and it is a very powerful tool in the hands of someone who REALLY knows how to use it.

First off- you do not NEED it to do basic stuff
Secondly, what you need to know can be picked up over a couple of months without too much stress- concepts of first 7 chapters are probably all you need to start
http://www.csharp-station.com/tutorial.aspx
Thirdly - use notepad++
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
- it's highlighting brackets etc is invaluable.
Don't be scared to copy bits of other peoples code (and then modify), and when you get stuck ask.

Have fun with the fmb:D it's one of IL2 series greatest assets
