Morning Torian.

Thanks for the prompt via the overspill Server. Here is the panel I was testing today. I usually spend my time in the SoW Server.

Blenheim Cockpit - Better than using the Keyboard

Panel made from scrap hardboard knocking about the shed. Switches & Cable from Maplins. Controlled via Leo Bodnars BU3086X board.

Boost Lever tension via spring washers. Activated via Microswitch (see Pic 3).

Labels made in MS Publisher and just held in positon using unused screws sculling around the bottom of my toolbox.

You will notice there are 2 x Saitek Trim Wheels. Left one controls rudder trim (got this working by messing about with the ControlUI.cfg), and the Right one controls the Aielron Trim (as modelled in CoD).

All the controllers (Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrants, Cockpit Panel) except the Trim Wheels, are setup via a registered copy of Joy2Key.

Thank you for your time.

Nails,

Aileron trim? Is not Rudder and Elevator in Blenheim?

Very nice cockpit, congratulations.

Nails,

Quick Q...
Are you using the devicelink like interface on CLOD for the second monitor instruments?

Quite right Sokol1 - It is the Elevator. My apologies.

Thank you for pointing that out.

Unfortunately, no Colander. However, I am working on it.

I will post if I make a breakthrough. I know there are quite a few people who would like their instruments on another screen.

Although I thought it was straightforward to use, apparently is not :D
Let me know if you need help with anything.

Thanks. I saw the nightfighter! My wife looks after the Gun Turret, Navigation and Bombing. We are looking forward to the IV - F! She can add Radar Op to her repartee!

TF have done great things with CoD - S! to all.

She does indeed RollingStoned. C/S Warbird. Say hello if you see us - Escort from the fighters always welcome.

No sister. Her brother left the RAF after 25 years this month (Nimrods).

Top work Nails:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Very interested in any progress you make with the instruments.
I see you are using old UDPSeed gauge set as placeholder. I'm sure I can come up with better graphics/Udpseed set if you want
eg a Spit set up I did pre CoD in the hope of being able to use it.

Wouldn't take much to produce a Blenheim set

Sounds like a man with new-found time on his hands. A gentle nudge towards 501 wouldn't go unnoticed ;)

I have long been an admirer of your work in this particular field. So I appreciate the gesture - thanks.

No luck so far. Early days, but if I do make progress I will post here or on the Device Link Thread.

I'm ex-RN. But have 2 x Brother in Laws. 1 of which has just left the RAF(wifes brother), and one who is still serving (RAF - currently at Brize Norton). Not one of them is remotely interested in any kind of WWII Sim - apparently the CEM learning curve, and keeping the aircraft flying during any kind of combat is to man power intensive. They would much rather load an X-Box racing game, and just get on with it.

Having said that, when he visits next weekend, I will sit him down, and talk him through it (flying or frying the Blenheim).

And Kopperdrake my dear chap, there are already to many pilots in 501. If I do manage to get them motivated, they can join 615 Sqn!

OH man, why aren't we next door neighbours. That has gotta be the 2nd most awsome setup I've seen, Number 1 being the guy who made a virtual cockpit out of a real jet airliner cockpit.

But he can't shoot or bomb. That would have to be the 2nd coolest thing u could do with ur wife in ur spare time.
A big thank u for sharing and do keep us posted with any developments.
