Difficulty with running patch

I have TF 3.01 installed and it works pretty well, but I have a problem occasionally when I start the game. I get a flashing box on the taskbar (the launcher) when the game starts. Sometimes I can't control the plane because the game seems to be unresponsive until I click on the launcher program flashing on the taskbar. I am using the latest Nvidia beta driver under windows 8 64 with a single Titan card. Any tweaks I need to do? Thanks.

Make sure you have "full screen" selected on the game's video settings.

Yes, full screen was enabled. I just cleaned out the cache folder, etc. Seems to working fine now. I will keep checking it. Thanks for your help.
