As the P8 compass is practically invisible (and complicated) I use the directional gyro to see where I'm going when I am on a british plane. But I noticed that sometimes it is completely wrong: Last night when I was flying from Folkestone to Calais it was indicating route 240°, once taking off from Eastchurch wanting to reach Deal I found myself over Wilmington. Most of times it works correctly, but sometimes this happens. Is it a Clod's bug or is there any adjustment to do before flight?

You need to set it each flight.

You need to set it each flight.
But how? I've been looking for, but I didn't find any button for this purpose in the cockpit. Maybe aligning the P8 compass to the north sets also the directional gyro?

I set the Directional Gyro (D.G.) from the compass every 10 - 15 minutes. Just something thats a habit from flying full size. Some set the DG on the ground before flight, probably O.K. not sure how its modeled, but in real life the D.G. is a vacuum driven instrument and wont spool up until you are in the air ,
Vacuum instruments have to be re-set often as they tend to drift ::
compass dont "Drift" but they lag, and you have variation to adjust
neither are perfect
Oh yeah one thing that is modeled in is "TUMBLE" do a loop or roll and a vacuum instrument will tumble, you have to wait until it settles down to re-set
Phew !!!!!
Learn read P8 inverted. :D
