Just FYI,
- There's another Kickstarter that may be worth looking into in regard to ALL "clickable cockpits". I've made a small backing pledge and communicated with the development team in regard to all flight sims but especially in regard to DCS WWII: Europe 1944. Got some good response from one of them who said they haden't considered THAT market yet but it's something some of the devs are familiar with and they'd be sure to try it out with some flight sims "in the next few weeks" ( "two weeks" ?? ).
- Anyway, it's basically a handheld controller with haptic feedback that communicates with the game interface thru LED sensors on the device interacting thru a web cam and the haptic feedback via Bluetooth. Site info says the accuracy is 0.08 in. Company called Intellect Motion -product is called " iMotion - 3d controller with haptic feedback ".
- Development Team members are both Asian and Russian with a Los Angeles, CA location on the Kickstarter as "Home"
I mentioned to the Development Team the names of Ilya Shevchenko, Oleg Maddox, and Igor Tishin along with their respective companies in connection with the DCS WWII : Europe 1944 project and it seemed to resonate well.
- Seems to have wide application and "backer/pre-release" pricing seems quite reasonable for the units.
They are already promoting it as quite usable with the Occulus Rift, so it's probably going to happen and something we all should at least be knowledgeable about.
