View Full Version : Friday Update - Late. Meet some new ships

Note*** this WIP in no way effects release date of any TF patch release as some people comment on this.

Sorry I was tied up with family this weekend and did not have time to get some of this stuff ready with some 'in game' pics until now.

I can't stress how much that this is just work in progress. So ignore the skins this week please and hold back on any negative comments.
If you have constructive comments then please post.
Historical accuracy will be achieved in final releases. These ships have now set the templates for more.

I am happy to present some new models which are WIP.

Submarine 1x main gun, 1 x twin barrel mg in con tower.
Cargo Ship 1 3 x MG Guns, multi cargo's
Cargo Ship 2 1 x Main gun, 2 x Flack MGguns, multi cargo's
German Destroyer 3 X double Main Guns, 4 X Double Barrel Flack , 2 x Single barrel secondary guns.


All ships have multiple break points, destroyable individual cargo by plane guns and more.

No ETA but I am in the stage of skinning. So not to long. Skins shown are old and were just tests.

I have one question on the last screenshot:
Why windows are modelled? After all it is simpler to draw them on texture.

Latest cut back version in game does not have modeled windoes

I don't want to know how much work was involved to build these 3D models and to have them imported.

Great to see extra content getting in the game - especially, if it is high-quality content like this one.

I can`t wait for the next great Step in Cliffs of Dover, and i CAN´T wait for my Rudders for Cliffs of Dover.......grrrrrr, roaaaaarrrr:-).

Thank you very much for your work. And THANKS to ALL who have worked with them to call them such good Sim to life:thumbsup:

what file format does CLOD use for importing meshes in game ?

I have a Freya radar mesh in (.obj) format that i made for red orchestra darkest hour that never got used.
