Hi everyone,

[Update: As an exclusion the first mission will take place on Sunday, 17th November].

Storm of War - with 5./JG27Farber in person - is starting the Italian BoB campaign next Saturday. In this 4-6 mission campaign with a mission once every Saturday beginning at 7 pm/8 pm (GMT/CET) red forces have to protect Great Britain from attacks of the Italian Regia Aeronautica.

Pilots to fly the mighty Fiat G.50 fighters and Fiat Br.20 bombers are welcomed but there is special need for brave Hurricane and Spitfire pilots. If you are interested in participating please read the detailed campaign information (http://www.stormofwar.net/t690-italian-bob-campaign-starts-16th-november-2013-sign-up-thread) in the Storm of War forum or ask your questions here.

Best regards

Yeah, come on by and have a go. How many chances will you have to blast away at 5./JG27 guys (and others) in G50's! This alone has to be worth your time for some.:)

Seriously though, as of next week we'll have two campaigns going on, a Sat (Italian) and Sun (BOB bomber type) for the several few weeks and you are all welcome in squads or singles, stop by and get assigned as a temp or reserve. It's good fun.

I would like to participate, but.. i will have my father in law @ home by the that time.. and on sunday will work. This is another reason why i have not sign up for any mission at ACG... i just cant compromise and then dont show up.

Good luck all, make some tracks of it!

Yellow, you might think of moving to England. You then would live in a more comfortable time zone and it also would add to the immersion.
Of course, this would mean to bear bad weather and rather special food. :D

Here is a short video of the mission of yesterdayevening.

I was trying to stay with the bombers and did not see much action. But still great images of a human bomber formation, big fighter escort and several attacking Tommies:

The next mission is on Sunday, 24th November 7pm/8pm (GMT/CET). Still some more red pilots welcomed!

THey all should use the ts3 voice changer "pilot talk" to get some serious results

Unfortunately, this sound like in a kindergarden ...

The youngest pilot you hear in this video is 25 years, the others up to 45+.
With my voice, even the Teamspeak plugin would not be able to make it less kindergarten-like. :(

Here is a 5 min video of the third campaign mission. The whole sortie did not go really well for me and the end was even worse. Still a lot of fun!

O just thought I'd update this with the results, very interesting campaign, thanks to all who took part. It was quite exciting all the way up until mission 6 (the last mission) as blue or red took a slight lead, it was a very neck and neck race. I very much enjoyed the G.50 which I flew for every mission.

Yes, some completely different feeling facing Spits and Hurris in a G.50!
We learned quickly that it is a wise idea to only look for lonely indianers and attack them with a 4:1 or at least 3:1 ratio. :)
