No smoke trails or exploding bullets for cannons in Bf110C-7 Late only

I don't have smoke trails or visually exploding bullets when firing cannons in the Bf110C-7 Late. These two effects seem to be missing in this aircraft only. I put in my favorite cannon belt from the Bf110 C-7 where I see the smoke trails and the bullets explode downrange, but there are no smoke trails or bullet explosions when firing the same cannon ammo in the Bf110C-7 Late.

Is this a bug?
