Too bright cockpit during night flight

When flying during night, the cockpit (eg Spitfire) is constantly too bright (from my point of view). The brightness also never changes (eg in dependence of the position of the moon).

This situation makes it very difficult to detect targets in the dark.

Is this a bug?
