Cannot launch 5" Rockets

Documentation states HVARs can be launched using "8" key, but mine cling stubbornly to the rails. I can drop bombs, but can't for the life of me get rockets to release-
Has anyone else had this issue?

Rockets are launched using the same drop ordnance button as bombs. You need to select rockets from your arming panel (rockets, safe, bomb train and the other option, whose name I don't recall), then select auto or single from the switch under it (behind your stick) and in case of single, which station you want to launch. 1 is the farthest on the left wing. If you select auto, press and hold the drop ordnance button for one second, until all are fired.
