My guess is the one on the left, Doc seems like the kind of guy that'd give "props" to a dead swine.

Wow...we definitely don't have those in Pennsylvania! What did you shoot it with? I've heard people say they shoot hogs with stuff as little as .17hmr, but I'm guessing that guy took a .30 cal slug of some sort.

A .300 winmag / off hand / 175 yards / leaning out driver side window f-150 / private property.

And no that is my best friend on the left and his long faced cousin on the right. He has that long face because he's been living there 30 years and never shot one. Notice the grin on my buddy on the left. Totally rubbing it in the whole entire time. He hates the world.

This is me.

P.S. You probably could use the 17 and that is a great gun but that one took 2 shots. Notice he's looking at his left foot and its bent oddly. That was the first shot and it snapped its leg. But it got up and run anyway and took a second one which stopped it. They're so smart and they adapt very well they're even becoming nocturnal. They estimate there are over 2 billion in the country and half of that is in this state alone. They are taking over. It's an epidemic. But that's why you can hunt them 24/7/365. You can shoot them. You can poison them you can run over them even blow them up. They're destroying everything.

I got a lot of photos and videos of long distance shoot offs if anyone's into long range shooting - say 500 yards or better.

The guy on the right hunts deer with a 22-250 head shots all the time. That was before he screwed up his .243 Roberts. He loaded a slightly different round in a magazine that fit it ok but the projectile lodged in the barrel. Then, he used some kind of steel rod to jam down this disassembled 243 hoping to get it out. While he was banging on it and it snapped off really tight in the barrel as well. So now he has this thing disassembled thinking he is going to get it. Saw the barrel...that's when I decided next time I come out I am bring a camera. He different kind of person.

Just watching him is hysterical. It could do well in the reality TV ratings. Seriously I can show you a hilarious video of him getting a chainsaw stuck in a huge tree that he's cutting and the crazy process of using a tractor to get it out. This may sound odd but trust me...if you know any real country folk then you know what I'm saying. They're just wired differently. But I am forever blessed to have it on film.

Doc,

I know exactly what you're talking about. I grew up on a grain farm in the midwest. We do things just a bit differently ;)

Speaking of guns and ammo, have you ever watched any videos from this guy? Hilarious!

Ha, great stuff Doc! I've spent plenty of time with the .300 win mag, can't say my shoulder appreciates it, but it pretty much wounds on one end and destroys on the other.
It's crazy that those suckers can reproduce so quick and take over like they do, props for taking that beast from 175 yards. How do they taste?

The long range stuff is tough, I try to keep them under 300 yards. I've never attempted 500, but when I get a .257 weatherby I'll be sure to try. I need a dang computer to figure out where my bullet will impact with all the factors that come into play at those ranges.

The hillbilly gunsmith story is great too..you better find cover whenever he decides to shoot that thing again, haha!

My son is in the Army and he gets to handle a 50 - the barrel of which is about as long as he is tall and it looks like it could be used for holding iron weights.

I have really enjoyed the ATAG server guys. Friday and Saturday was outstanding.

I encourage everyone that isn't on TS3 to get it and use it. Sure would be nice to be able to know who is near when you need them. Plus makes for great teamwork and can reduce the chances of a friendly fire accident. Not eliminate the chance completely of it happening just reduce it.

Sorry Keller for shooting up your 110 last week.
