Hi Chaps,

There's lots of system monitoring tools around but I rate this one highly.

http://openhardwaremonitor.org/

It's free but highly configurable. Perhaps most useful is the on-screen display, which can show useful info such as GPU, CPU, ram usage and temps, all in game.

I recently discovered a memory leak in VLC player, which I wouldn't have otherwise caught.

Cheers,

Septic.

Hi Lew,

I saw my 32gb ram being gradually eaten away, about a gb every five minutes. I typically have VLC player going in the background whilst the PC is on, I need my music you understand.

Playing Cliffs inevitably means I have http://www.1940sukradio.co.uk/ running, choosing their VLC player option, support for which they seem to have recently dropped, caused the leak.

The reported usage of ram, cpu and gpu whilst playing Cliffs is very useful. My GPUs rarely go above 50% usage and CPU 30%.

There's an option to enable an unobtrusive window, which can display all relevant hardware stats in-game.
