Hi ATAG,

i whas thinking maby you can add some missions on the map from your server, maby like this:

Mission 1 (Late battle of france):

Planeset blue:

Me 109E-1
Me 109E-3 (Limited to 5)
Me-110
Ju-87
He-111
Ju-88

Planeset red:

both Hurricanes no Spitfires
Blendhime

targets blue:

for the Bombers airfields, Citys and Industrybuildings with planes, cars and trains as target (inland)
for the Ju-87 tanks and artillerie (close to the frontline).
fighters cover the bombers

targets red:

for bomber blue airfields with planes and cars
fighters have to kill the bomber, escord the own bombers or fly cap.


Mission 2 (battle of the channel):

Planeset blue:

Me 109E-1
Me 109E-3
Me 109E-4 (Limited to 5)
Me-110
Ju-87
He-111
Ju-88

Planeset red:

both Hurricanes
Spitfires MK I /MK Ia no Spitfire MK IIa
Blendhime

targets blue:

for the Bombers airfields with planes, cars and artillerie at english coast
for the Ju-87 moving konvoi`s from the themse thrue the channel till the end of map.
fighters cover the bombers

targets red:

for bomber blue airfields with planes and cars
fighters have to kill the bomber, escord the own bombers or fly cap.

let the AI bombers atack the target and destroy it so the AI can win the mission. so both side have to fly for the missions or loose the mission. maby this stops this vulching party. add win/loose to the stats if possible.

maby its possible when the server is restartet you go to the next mission etc.

Well "D", some great ideas and suggestions on your part. Hopefully, with time and further patches that can address server issues all these things can be accomplished, however at the moment it is rather slow going and any changes that are made require a great deal more time and effort to achieve. But we do as much as we can with what we have to work with.:Grin:

I appeal to the owners of the server ATAG!
Very often, pilots shake button ESC and immediately out of the game
leaving the battle to save lives and not only.:cussing:
In order to avoid such situations, you can do both on the server Repka4
Disco people have always been, but at least for a little can improve the situation by removing the access of a button ESC
You shot down? Jump or die in an airplane!
Want to quit the game? Jump or come in for a landing!

Hi!
I'd like to offer a feature from repka 4. What is it?
Some of "red" pilots says that some of "blue" ones cheats not returning to base and just landing right on water in the channel after fight. As I fly mostly on the blue side I'd like to say that there is no reason or motivation to lose time crossing the whole damn channel for "RtB". German air forces have offensive tactics so we need 8-10 mins to achieve coastal Britain. After good 10-20 mins fight I'd like to get my plane back home if launcher crash doesn't kill me first. But some people like X doesn't like it.
So give to us a motivation for RtB. For example, if u land on ur home field pilot, who shot at u, won't get any score for harming ur plane.

My impression (for the chat comments I read) is that a lot of blue pilots LAND their planes.

Equally, a lot of blue pilots do not lurk above the airbase strafing red airplanes.

...and there are some "less clever" blue pilots who fly circles at 4K beggin for a red to come up there...:nw:


This afternoon (12:00 CET) we were even informing the red to check their six :banghead:


Just to make the point and avoid starting these "generalisations" of the kind "every arab is an AlQaida terrorist and every blue pilot is a vulcher" ;)

The majority of Blue and Red players treat the ATAG server as a "simulation" of the Battle of Britain, a small number treat the server as "a game". Unfortunately, we don't have the luxury of having many squadrons on each side to provide air cover, and we all know what happens to frame rates when we try to place AI and extra AAA to protect the airfields.

A small number of players have decided how things should be done on the ATAG server to suit their idea of fun. Much time and resources have been diverted from other projects to try short-term remedies to restore the balance of play, but with very limited success. When you have one player rack up 600 kills within a month through vulching, I see 600 times other players have been denied their fun in order to pad one individual's score of cheap kills.

Yes, I've been vulched a number of times while helpless on the ground, meaning I next have to respawn at an inland airfield and take another 15 - 20 minutes extra to reach MY target -- high altitude bombers (AI and/or real pilots) hopefully escorted by non-vulching pilots like yourself.

I suppose that certain "motivations" can be programmed into the ATAG server to discourage a small number of players from treating ATAG as their own little Airquake arena at the expense of everyone else -- including those Blue players who don't get to engage in BoB high altitude dogfights because a few of their vulching team mates have the Red players tied up below. But there are no guarantees that even these "motivations" in scoring would work, anyway. Result: more wasted effort and time stolen from more worthwhile projects. TBH, I intensely dislike being told to make changes -- ie. "motivations" -- by that same small group of vulching players with the implication that it's their way or they'll keep on vulching. But as in everything else, it's always the small group that do their utmost to ruin things for the rest. Unfairly, you sometimes get lumped in with that group simply because you fly for the same team colour! :(

I am strongly hoping that all flight modelling will be made more accurate for ALL the aircraft. If that is done then ultimately I believe the situation will improve.
