Alright lads..

So whats been happening as far as controls go? have we trim yet? what cannot be mapped yet to keys?

and does the game recognize a 'shift/pinky' button yet?

Trim for the Russian planes is not done yet, may be a few more weeks on that the way it sounds.
The 109 does have horizontal stabilizer trim, so you can trim that one.

Still some settings that do not work, namely in the engine management section. The 109 still works on auto cem only.

Can't answer on the modifier question, as I do all my controller settings in the Target software for my Warthog...
