Purchased PC Pilot Issue 75 for the Maximising Performance of CLoD article.

In summary, adjust anti-alias, VSynch etc through your graphics card rather than through the game. I thought it looked good previously, as you would expect with a gtx 570, but once I tuned through the NVidia software there was a significant improvement in graphics quality. Do not select any of the graphics options in the game, only through your card's software.

Hope this works for you!

Good luck!

The NVidia control panal is the best way to manage . When you download a nvidia driver it come with the card or etc., it places a icon in the windows control panal.

I run a 580 and i get 60 fps around the ground and 120 looking at the sky, i still get launcher failure,

Thaaanks!
I will give it a try.

Holy Moly, AA= 32xCSAA! Do you not have problems with disappearing dots? We have a post somewhere mentioning that setting AA to 0 improves a lot the issue.

re Disappearing Dots

No more than usual ... I think!

Need to trial and error some of the settings to find the optimum for individual machines, but the general idea of tuning outside of the game is a good one at this stage.

There maybe some improvement varying the texture controls as well.

Magpie,

If I may ask:

What are your system specs?

What kind of frames do you get with those settings?

Thanks,

Deacon
