Cool, was browsing the forums and missed that by a matter of minutes! Thanks for the heads-up.

Very, very cool.

Call me Mr. Picky but I don't really like the paintjob on that one (most likely WIP) ;)

But the cockpit still looks wonderful. Can't wait to see what they have in stock for the fully-textured P-47 and Spitfire.

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons

:(

Who is it that one has to email?

Hey Colander, I was getting that too. I checked if my emails in KS and ED forums were the same first. They were, which is a must. Then I logged on ED and was getting this same message. I then closed the ED forum and went back in (while still being logged in). It worked.
It seemed to me that when you log in it doesn't let you through. But if you stay connected and reopens the page it works.

What, you don't like the paint job? I love these late war paintschemes. 75/83 on top, and different shades of 76 (blue, green and beige - these two mostly refered as 84, even if it didn't exist) for the lower colors. I like when there's brown too (81) and light grey (sometimes refered as 77 primer). 190D and 109K are a real challenge to get right color wise. No two machines alike.

:D. Yeah, so what exactly is 'violet-brown' anyway? Won a couple of modelling comps with a 262 done in my own interpretation of that colour. Late war, they were running out of of everything, including paint pigments, so anything goes mate. :)

Oh well, call me a fashion hoe, but I always found the yellow-nosed 109s to be flashier and sexier than the grey/dark green tones of late war paintshemes. I am not criticizing the quality of the paint job. Just a matter of personal preference, mate.

Yup Dutch, that's what's fun about it. One historian will say one thing, the other another, different books will interpret it differently and at the end, the prototype you are modelling had a bad batch of paint applied and the violet tint was different haha oh how I wish all pictures were colored back then.

I think the coolest example of this I've seen live is the V-1 that hangs from the ceiling of the IWM in London. The belly alone has three different colors which should be the same. Only because they were made probably in different places.

Hey Chuck, sure, no problem not liking the colors. I prefer quite the opposite. Mid-war (from 41 onwards actually) greys are sort of dull for me. When the 83 dark green replaced the 74 grey-green things get a bit uglier for me, but the variations break the monitonicity. G-10 with yellow nose bands and rudders or squadron bands for the Defence of the Reich.
Early paint jobs are nice too. What we have in CloD or an Fw-190A-2 painted in 76/02/71(makes it quite a different bird). Than you consider eastern front and med and everything changes again. Than the introduction of greens and browns or greens and greens, and night-fighter greys... I love Luftwaffe paintschemes.
I didn't even consider you were talking about the quality :salute:
