Just wanted to say "hi" !
Greetings fellow pilots !
I just finished registering and can't wait to explore all of the info contained in the forum !
If i have any questions, is there an appropriate thread to do so ?
Thank you, and hope to see you in the skies !

Re: Just wanted to say "hi" !
Welcome to the forum, thearmagamer!
Don't worry about the appropriateness of any section here on the forum to ask questions. The important thing is to ask! If I think that you would get a better response in a different section of this forum, I will gladly move your thread and/or post accordingly. No biggie. I will also include a "moved post notification" which includes a link to the new location, so you don't find yourself hunting for your question the next time you visit.
We're here to help; we realize this sim has a very steep learning curve. Anything we can do to get you in the air and survive is what this community is here for.
And as my good friend ATAG_Lewis says, "It's all about the fun!"
Ask away and ask often! :D
Cheers,
Snapper :salute:

Like Snapper says... nobody is going to rip your head off for posting in slightly the wrong place.
It's a pretty relaxed place here so make yourself at home.
And welcome to the seaside!

Hi there, and welcome to the forum, and of course Cliffs of Dover Blitz.
As already stated above, just post any questions that you may have, and wherever you post them we will find them and someone will hopefully provide the answers that you need.
A good place to start is the beginners guide https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.c...t=5058&p=52711
There is a whole host of information to get you started, and another suggestion if you haven't already done so is download TeamSpeak ( It's free) as talking direct on comms is the best way that we can help you out, and the best way to communicate in the multiplayer environment.
Good to have you with us, and I hope to see you in the virtual skies real soon.
Oh, and the most important bit.... Have fun :salute:

Re: Just wanted to say "hi" !
Hi thearmergamer........looks like you've hit the jackpot! You have just arrived at the best flightsim and the coolest Community in the world! (Also the most modest!)
Seriously....if you are 'into' aviation history of WWII, (as we all are!) you are now 'in for a ball!' As my good friend ATAG_Laser has said, do post on this Forum if you have any problems. We have a lot of very skilled pilots here and somebody will have discovered the answer to your problem and will be able to help you out.
If a thread is not quite in the right place ATAG_Snapper will move it to where it will be most appropriate. I'm sure you are aware of Team Speak...the program that once downloaded, enables you to talk to other pilots whilst flying. It really does improve immersion in that it allows cooperation and more complex missions between groups of pilots. Just like the real thing! And it is such fun!
There are lots of very exciting developments in the pipeline for Cliffs of Dover so you are joining us at a great time. I hope your 'set up' goes well. Do join us on multiplayer as soon as you can and say 'hello.' We look forward to 'winging up' with you soon. Salute!
Re: Just wanted to say "hi" !
Hi thearmergamer.
I knew I'd find you somewhere and so glad you dropped by to say hello .
It's great to keep seeing new sim fans getting on board . This is a very friendly community and we were all new to this once .
Any problems or assistance required just yell and someone will be along in no time to help you out .
Good luck and have fun . :salute:

Welcome to the Community and Forums thearmagamer...~S~
Checkout the 'Beginners Guide'...for info and tips...It will save you a heap of time in getting up to scratch.....and its a really fun learning curve too...
Beginners Guide
Windows Management Guide
Also try youtube for startup procedures on all the aircraft...
I recommend getting in the online server as soon as you can take off if that's ultimately where you'd like to fly...I flew single player for 30 minutes before I took the plunge...The ATAG online server is a great environment to learn and there's not really any damage you can do in there as a new player.....It is also mission based just with real players trying to foil your objectives...If you are concerned then pick an airstrip furthest from the front line (there always is one or two on every map) and get some alt before you go hunting...You'll get tagged a lot but there are tricks you learn out of pure desperation in those first few weeks that you'll be able to use later...I know cos I still use the same tricks I learned then too because they work...and never underestimate the stall to get you out of a tight fix...That sometimes works too...
TeamSpeak is optional but you'll learn a whole lot faster with it even if you say very little once you are on the server...You are quite welcome to just listen if you feel more comfortable with that....so you don't actually need a mic either...Try it and see!
