Here's a video of an encounter I had recently on Operation Relinquish. I found 2 high 109s (you already know who they're going to be!) fighting a Spit and got myself stuck in. After sustaining some damage, I managed to reverse the fight and chase down a 109. Salute to J-HAT - you put up a good fight. If only you'd just extended - when RTBing my damaged Spitty could only make 230 mph!

They often get me with that first attack even if I see them coming.
Excited to watch this later after work. I was the other Spitfire. Meyer and I got into it big time as per usual and eventually both buggered off. I should've been there to protect you from the initial damage you took but I had briefly disengaged to come back in with some authority. Not briefly enough, I guess. Good show!

From my point of view you were in guns range with 8 .303 ready to spray!
You took my rudder and elevator cables off with that first hit btw. There it was over.
