TF and 'Warbirds over Scone' Event

Hello All

Some of you in Australia may have heard of the "Warbirds over Scone" event.

This is happening in New South Wales at Scone airfield on the weekend of March 23rd to 25th.

The event will include the rare appearance of a Focke-Wulf 190A... you won't get a chance to see one of these very often, so don't miss it. ;)

In addition, one of the community, ATAG_Pattle, has very kindly offered to host a booth to display CLIFFS OF DOVER and allow people to enjoy our sim.

ATAG Torian is also going to be with me at our display.

We are hoping to be able to access the Aero club's wifi to enable us to fly online during the day with all you good people.

Another community member, Squiz is bringing over a portable wifi for us as a back up.

Know of a few others coming as well. Hopefully we can meet up. Those coming, pm me and I will give you my mobile no.

The President of the Aero Club will be giving us a tour of the Warbirds on display, most of which owned by his best mate. We have also been invited to drinks the night before for being exhibitors. Torian can't wait to hang out with the important peoples :-P

They are expecting 10,000 people next Sunday. We will be situated in the VIP Hangar, so Cliffs/Blitz is going to be seen by a lot of people that day.

Now the rules according to no one.. is this. If we do get on line, you can't shoot us down. Buzz is giving us kevlar air frames for the day, so we can fly about with impunity, and those watching will think that we are dead set legends.

Sounds good anyway. :-)

And I have managed to get my beautiful wife to come along on the illusion/aka delusion, of a romantic weekend in the Upper Hunter Valley. If anyone in the future needs to borrow some of the mass brownie points I will be getting from said wife, let me know.:thumbsup: This truly is the talk of her work!


In all seriousness, it is a real privilege for Torian and I to represent our community for the first time at an airshow.

We will be there all day. The event is on Sunday 25 March.

As we will be in the VIP section, not sure how accessible we will be to get to for those without that pass, but just pm me if you are coming, so I can let the organisers know, so. They can allow access to come say hello.
