One of the greats.
RIP Mr Berry:(
Very sad news, a total musical legend. :salute:
Mike.
Amazing that the man was still rocking until 90 years old.
<tl Salute to our fallen King of Rock and Roll!
You know that Johnny B Goode (by Chuck Berry) , is on the gold record flying on each of the voyager spacecraft for the benefit of, um well curious aliens with record players i guess.
RIP Chuck

Yes, R.I.P Chuck Berry, a pioneer of Rock and Roll and a true music Legend :(
Have been anticipating this loss for some time, but still stunned when it actually occurred.
“If you had to give rock and roll another name, you might call it 'Chuck Berry'. John Lennon

I went to a Chuck gig in 1992...in Plymouth UK....I went on my own but it was a full house...
Half way through his set he lost part of his bridge from his guitar and had the band stop to look for it...Chuck just got down on his haunches and started looking for it on the stage while he recited one of his rude poems...
He was a great entertainer...as well as being one of the founders of rock and roll...and he punched Jerry Lee Lewis which also gets him high regard from me!
I have always had a Chuck song that I was trying to learn on guitar from time to time...I remember one guitarist saying that he was trying to find a good new riff for a song but then he realised they had already all been done by Chuck Berry and Jimmy Page!
Also....Dave Brubeck on piano in the 'Little Queenie' clip....Who I also have seen...twice!
Two of my all time Chuck faves.
