Help please - controller worked yesterday, not today.
My Logitch Extreme 3D Pro throttle and joystick worked fine yesterday but today the game doesn't recognize it. Unplugged and plugged it back in and my desktop recognize it but the game doesn't. Again, it worked yesterday but not this morning. Did something change? Any suggestions to get the game to recognize it again? I tried several of the suggestions from other treads but no joy. Any help is VERY much appreciated!

Have you lost all Control Settings in the Game? If so read this thread. https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.c...ad.php?t=23995 If the Control Setting are still there and the joystick still does not work someone else is going to have to help you. Best of luck.

Hi Little Bill, thanks for responding. Everything is working except the joystick.
Re: Help please - controller worked yesterday, not today.
Had to reprogram all of the buttons but seems to be working again. Odd.

Hi Sam,
If you plug or unplug a USB device, it may reorder your joystick settings in game. I use notepad++ on the config file to reassign if the values get scrambled (I have 3 additional peripherals with a combined 11 axes and 43 buttons, so I feel the pain). Remapping in-game shouldn't be too bad on the extreme 3D though if most of your bindings are on the keyboard.

Hello Sam
In Windows 10 there is a setting in your Device Manager which allows Windows to turn off the power to your joystick to save energy.
When it turns off the power, you lose the settings you have previously programmed.
To avoid this, you need to go through the following steps:
- Right click on the Windows sign in the bottom left of your toolbar
- Select "Device Manager' from the column of choices
- Select "Human Interface Devices"
- Select your joystick and/or rudder pedals from the "Human Interface Devices" choices (if your joystick does not have a name, may be called "HID Compliant Game Controller")
- Right click on the joystick/rudder... select properties, then the 'Power Management' tab
- Uncheck the box which says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
