Other users have and it just updates the backgrounds to Larry's backgrounds instead :)

For me STEAM Beta download only around ~3MB - probable the background files, and nothing more has changed.
But since "people are people, and computer, computers", and different persons make their computers "eat" different things, who knows the result done the same thing... :D
Re: Team Fusion Simulations patch v4.312 is now available via Steam
I was worried about a clean install as I had to do a lot of messing about to get Cliffs working in windows 10. I had to use Cloder.exe to get the game working.
I just did a clean install last night and it works!
Thanks!

Don't you just know there's a host of people out there waiting for TF5.0 just so we can type "6.0?????????????" in the chat window on its day of release :-)
Re: Team Fusion Simulations patch v4.312 is now available via Steam
I've had a fully operating version of this mod for quite a while, but I'd like to have the new screens incorporated into this version.if possible. Can I simply install it over what i've got? I don't want to screw up a smoothly working version.
Beta access code required for download...what's this?
Re: Team Fusion Simulations patch v4.312 is now available via Steam
Yes, if you already have the mod it will only install an extra 3-4 MB of data, which are the new title backgrounds. The beta access code is not required to be entered to get the update, you should just be able to go in to the steam downloads page after selecting the patch and it should appear.

For the love of god please change that dreadful load screen music in the next patch. It's terrible.
Pinch the Battle of Britain theme.
Re: Team Fusion Simulations patch v4.312 is now available via Steam
Being official, we can't 'pinch' anything....but we are looking at a new piece :)

I have found that it sounds better when you turn it off......:)
Re: Team Fusion Simulations patch v4.312 is now available via Steam
A quick note: I had to get a new shortcut for my desktop from the Steam site for the new version . My old desktop one took me to the older dowmloaded 4.312 version with the older menu screens for some unknown reason....:recon::recon:
Re: Team Fusion Simulations patch v4.312 is now available via Steam
Big Congratz to the TF team !
Have not played it for a year and a half due to other stuff which was more important.
(also sidetracked by the Wolves of Steel Mod of Silent Hunter V ehehehe)
Re-downloading it in Steam now including the Patch.
We will see :)
Ash.
Re: Team Fusion Simulations patch v4.312 is now available via Steam
Being away for a few months (almost a year) I decided to remove the old install and go for the beta, just to be sure that I had everything ready when the 4.5 hit the market.
After removing/delete folders/reinstall, I noticed that I cannot use the ESC key to bring the menu back while flying. To be more specific, pressing ESC brings the menu, but the mouse operations aren't registered - instead, they are passed thru to the desktop. For instance, if I leave some text editor opened and then load ClOD, when I see the first screen I notice that the mouse cursor is not an arrow, but instead it is the "insert cursor" used by the text editor behind the game's window. I'm using the game in full screen mode (not pseudo).
The first menu works ok, but if I fly, whenever I press ESC, I'm no longer able to interact with the menus. Workaround is to alt+tab, select the game's window again and then press ALT to enable the key shortcuts on menu. From there on, I can only interact with menus thru shortcut keys.
Weird bug. Tried everything I know (running as admin, new video drivers, check game's integrity, disable Steam cloud, etc etc etc) to no avail. Didn't try to reinstall "the old way" (using patches) as I cannot find them anymore.
Other than that, the game works ok. If anyone is having this problem too and know a solution, I would be glad to know. Google searches showed other people (since 2014) with similar problems, but no one with a proper solution yet.
Cheers
