Nice images.
That Focke-Wulf is one of the non-original/built new versions equipped with an ASh-82 Russian Radial. Built as a 190A-8 replica.
The ASh-82 was used in the La-5's and 7's during the war. Also a double row radial like the BMW-801, but with some differences in terms of hp and other features.
But very similar in size, so it fits in the FW-190 replica.
The Spit is of course, a Griffon engined version, so much higher speeds and overall performance than a FW-190A-8. It's an original.
It would fly circles around a FW-190A-8 in real life, but this is an airshow so the pilots are running low boost and rpms.
By the time the Germans were turning out A-8's, their focus was killing USAAC heavy bombers so they were loaded down with weapons and armour... not very good dogfighters.
The best dogfighting versions were the A-3/A-4 which were light and powerful... that was the period when they dominated.
Never turnfighters, but their rollrate was exceptional which allowed them to mix it up with the Spits.
And at that time versus the Spit V's, their speed and climb advantages gave them an overall big superiority.
The A-1/A-2/A-3/A-4 are first on our list of new aircraft for TF 6.0... assuming we get to TF 6.0.
I found that video a few days ago and have mailed it all over the place to friends :salute:
Nice video. I was always curios why so many games don't get the engine grumble right. Is it technically difficult, is it not worth it?
I remember that the original Il-2, or Forgotten battles had a setting called reverberation; when used the engine sound was more meaty and kind of filled your ears.
BTW: there's 3 beauties - don't forget the 109 G-6. There's also the nose of a P-51 around 11:58 which you can also see when the Spit is starting up.
