    Well, that was great fun.

Thank you DRock for setting it up again.

Thanks to all those that took part and yet again confirming what an awesome community we have. Really nice to see some of the ACG boys with us.

I spent so much time in my chute and practicing my backstroke that I didn't know whether I was on my a**e or my elbow!!!! Haha!

Looking forward to the next one.

Great fun, thanks a lot to everyone participating! Waiting very much for pictures and videos!

Would be great if ATAG server admins send TFS the log files. Maybe something to learn from the two server crashes.

I second this. Thanks to everyone that took part. That big swarm that flew Wilmington to French Point was quite a spectacle to behold!

Likewise good flying with you Molders - was a target rich environment and i managed to dust some cobwebs off my -110's guns which was good.

    Re: ATAG ASSAULT No.4

    Thank you everyone for participating.

It was a hard fight, and our Hurricanes suffered devastating losses.

Bravo to the Axis for their tenacious defense today.

Fortunately, we had enough bombers until the end of the map to help finish off Caffiers just in time, securing the map win for the Allies. (The battle of attrition definitely went the Axis, though.)

Next time the RAF will have to adopt new tactics, or increase our life insurance payouts. My Operation BlackJack plan was also cut in half by enemies, but it was fun to try new things out.

Win or lose, it was great fun.

ATAG ASSAULT No.5 is just around the corner, so, see you all soon.

To Oskar for stabilizing the server, without which there wouldn't have been an event,

to DRock for being one awesome flight leader no matter what the aircraft is,

And to all the participants for making this a fun event,

    Thank you!

    Re: ATAG ASSAULT No.4

    Another epic event.

Thanks to Drock for organising and all who took part. Good to know that we did eventually turn the map. I was only able to take part in the first two sorties and we were being torn to pieces so badly I did wonder if any of us would manage to get through to bomb any of the targets.

First sortie I got pk'd by Groove, second time up I was the architect of my own downfall.

Flying at wavetop height over the channel we were attacked. I saw this fighter drop down in front of me in our formation... zoomed in to identify it (didn't want to shoot at a friendly)... it was a 109. Was about to fire when I hit the water...damn, I should've got him!!!

It was great to see so many Hurricanes in formation, and the flypast of Canterbury cathedral was a sight to behold... just like a Highseas tour

So... I never made it to any of the targets, but it was good fun nonetheless, and great to see over 100 players on the server... even though that in itself caused problems with the server crashes.

I did record the two sorties that I took part in and will hopefully be making a short video soon.

Hopefully I will be able to attend the next event, depending on my RL commitments and if the event involves planes that I can actually fly

    Re: ATAG ASSAULT No.4

    It was a massacre!
But we had so much fun!

    Thanks for organising!
All those Hurris flying in close formation on treetop level was an amazing sight.
And it was a real challenge not to collide with the others.
Maybe it would have been better tactics with FBs to split up into small groups and attack small targets independently. But this would have spoiled the 'formation fun'.

Thanks TCP and Rostic for the screenies. I just looked through them with my little daughter (who asked why I am so tired today) and her comment was:
'Oh this is so beautiful! It looks just like real!'

By the way, how did you get all the fancy angles, was that via using the track recording editor?

Haha, good to hear Ms. DerDa's opinions!

    Re: ATAG ASSAULT No.4

Yes, thanks for organising the event D Rock.

A tricky evening for the 5 spitfires of the 119th and all red fighter escorts I assume. The escort duty with the Blenheims was going fine until they started to join the Hurris, which were already taking a big hit and significantly higher than the Blenheims. Climbing into any scrap with 109s is bad enough, but being heavily outnumbered really made things pretty impossible - you know what's about to happen when the contrails start to disappear!

By the way, no excuses on my part for the first mission, simply got bounced (I think by the guys of JG. 52?), whilst not paying full attention - lesson learned!

Nevertheless, for my first big mission, thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks again
