Yes, thats it, thanks a lot.Now I wonder if the Combatstick will fit on it, and how would it be attached if it does.

Edit* I just read that it shouldnt be mounted on a glass desk so I cant use it unfortunately

    here's mine
    monitors

    Wider front view

    RHS

    LHS

Controls are Tarmac aces stick/throttle with Simped pedals, all other controls are homebuilt- 8 axes and 88 switches connected to a beta innovations controller.
Main monitor is 27", lower is now 19" run off second 'puter'- rather handy for working on mods etc while sim is running on main screen (with I2 this screen used to run devicelink gauges).

Here is a link to Photo Bucket to view some photos of the cockpit I am playing with. It is ever evolving...everything is temporary and in state of flux. I probably get as much fun out of fiddling with hardware as I do flying COD.

    EDIT EDIT....Forgot the password

PASSWORD is "cod123" to view files on photo bucket.

This may be common info for many, but I am including some links for those who are intrested in extending their warthog stick. SimHQ forum is where I started researching and I got most of my ideas for my extension from there. Click through all the posts on the SimHQ forum and you can get an idea of what everyone is doing. I got all the parts from hardware stores.

I pulled out a few of the more helpful links that people posted for your conveince.

oh, very nice. I lik what you've done mounting the warthog in front of the rudder pedals. I plan on doing exactly the same thing with mine, once I move into my new apartment....

No change on the bearings - static frictions isn't strong enough for me to notice, especially after i put in the steering damper... I don't like the center detent though - i might take out the torsion spring and use two coil springs setup instead.

    Re: Show us your cockpit

You guys really blow me away with your creativity and technical prowess. My setup closely resembles El Gringo's -- very straightforward with the Warthog HOTAS and Saitek pedals. I did wedge in a CH Quadrant directly in front of me which has been handy with its 6 additional axis and switches.

I'm a little surprised that no one (including Thrustmaster's owners) hasn't come out with commercially made joystick extensions yet. I suppose there is no volume in sales to warrant it, but it would be a relatively easy kit to fabricate and sell online in various extension lengths. Kick Starter anyone? LOL

    Re: Show us your cockpit

Mine is still coming along. The joystick works a dream and the 4 way switch where the gun camera button should be controls PoV and PTT. I intend to tidy up the quadrant console, it works fine but could be a bit more authentic. The keyboard is pretty much redundant now. Need to build a seat next, the old garden chair doesn't really cut it anymore. What are peoples views on long joysticks? I certainly feel they are more immersive compared to an F16 jet stick. Would people buy them if they were on the market?joy31.jpg

    It's coming along nicely Maltloaf!

I started building a full size force feedback cockpit (no motion platform though) about 1.5 years ago but then I moved to TF and free time to work on it disappeared (as well as the garage I had to work on it).

Thanks, slow but sure. Do you have any opinion on the idea of realistic WWII joysticks if they were available?
